Overtime: (NEW) Midjourney Editor Is Live! (Edit, Repaint, Crop, Zoom, Pan, and Scale—All In One)

Midjourney just dropped a bomb of an update And when I say game changer, it's only because I don't have a better word to describe it. essentially what this is in an update to, in an upgrade. For that matter to their existing inpainting, repaint, custom zoom aspect ratio, remix, amalgamation of what that turned into. And now we've put it into one place called Editor. Now what I'm about to show you. Will probably blow your mind if you have not seen this already.

Play from 0:33 8:88 0:33 now you just click on Editor and you've got this beautiful screen here. Now a lot has changed. So let's cover this piece by piece. Now you've got this, inpainting functionality where you can choose to erase. So gone is the square box or the lasso that was just a little bit funky. And now it's just been replaced with this brush and you can adjust the size of this brush. And I can just make a little edit just like this. what that's going to do is. If I were to hit submit, it's gonna give me four new options with, these particular pixels filled in, right? So that's number one.

All right, so let's paint that back. the other part of this is I can scale this image down, So, previously you had sort of these zoom out options, 1. 5 X, 2 X, The question was, man, wish, wish we could, zoom out even further than that. And look at this. I could go all the way down to a 10 percent scale. And now I'm just talking about these pixels right here and everything else here would be filled in by Midjourney.

Play from 1:35 8:88 1:35 So that's pretty ridiculous. the other part of this that is especially powerful is I can drag this image. Anywhere in this box, So before you had a start center and end where you could kind of place that image, it was pretty much well determined. Whereas this is a lot more dynamic in nature. So obviously you've got the scale functionality, you've got the drag functionality. I mean, you can really Manipulate the hell out of these images now in a much, much faster way. previously what you might've had to do is, you know, start in close, zoom out to X, fix it, pan, scale, adjust the reframe size, all that stuff. Now you can do that right in here. I mean, so this is pretty crazy.

Take my mouse and adjust the image like this as well. So let me show you this. Right. So you could do it by a corner. You could do it by up and down. I think that's just insane how powerful that's going to be for new users as well. so, this is, this is really a game changing. Functionality for Midjourney. This is eliminating additional steps and use cases to go into something like Photoshop now, because you don't need to in some of those cases that you had to previously. If I want a generative fill, I can do that. If I want a generative expand my aspect ratio, I can do that you can quickly adjust

I mean, it's not so let me slide it over here, slide it over there. I could just quickly select these things. So overall, this is one of the bigger updates they've made to an existing feature in Midjourney in quite some time. Funny enough, this is something that Rory and I have talked about. ad nauseam on the Midjourney, Fast Hours podcast. We were asking for a lot of these things, like the ability to crop, like the ability to zoom out, like the ability to have a free selection tool to make those changes with the repaint functionality.
