0:00:00Intro and v8.1 arrives
Play from 0:00:01 What's up, everybody? Midjourney Fast Hours podcast, episode 66. Rory Flinger, Brucker, the boys are back, baby. And you know, just like as the name indicates, we have something to talk about with Midjourney. There's a new model. Look at us, two models in a month.
Play from 0:00:27 It's only took a year. 8.1. You know, I think last time we talked was two weeks ago and we were, you know, they said Monday through Wednesday it was gonna get released. That didn't happen. So it didn't happen last week, which was part of the reason we didn't record. Then we got it. We both sat down with it a little bit. We kind of squeezed it in our busy little schedules that we have and we've got some observations. We've got some thoughts.
Play from 0:00:53 We've got plenty of thoughts. So Rory. I think we can go, I think we can go pretty deep into this today. Give the people what they want. Is V8.1 better than V8? Yes. Yes. Resounding yes. I would say I've already had way more fun. Yeah. Yeah. objectively true. And the true test of that for me was am I pushing the button over and over and over again?
0:01:05Is v8.1 actually better than v8?
Play from 0:01:22 And the answer was yes. And that's like to me, whenever I get that with one of their models or one of their releases where it's just like, OK, enter again, try a different parameter and instead of like adjusting the prompt and like, I didn't get what I wanted. I didn't get what I. That was what V8 was doing to me. And then this one comes out and it's like, I can bash my mood boards again. I can use the image prompting. I can use all the different weights that I want to use again and just hit the button. Go, go, go, go, go, go.
Play from 0:01:48 And I was like, all right, just generated like 500 images in like 20 minutes. Like, OK, cool. That's that's that's a good sign. That's a good sign. So yeah, so fast. You don't you don't appreciate it till you're working on something else, you know. So you're like sitting there with Nano fired up and you're like, all right. You know, it's like two minutes later. It's like, all right, here we go. the timing? We might have to do like a time check on that.
Play from 0:02:14 I mean, it's super fast. And they did mention that in the notes. think, what did they say? It was three times. Here, I'm just kind of pulling up my notes here. Native 2K, obviously. So that's default now, but 3X faster, 3X cheaper. Awesome. Awesome. permutations and like with like six or seven different variants and it's like done.
Play from 0:02:42 I'm like sick. I love it. Yeah. the so now the standard, you know, the default res now that matches the same. They say that it matches the same speed as V7 draft mode. Remember when draft mode dropped and you're just like, dog, this is flying, right? Like this could be this could be useful. That's how fast this is in comparison. So just in case you haven't tried that yet, that's I think like one of the best parts about this.
Play from 0:03:12 Also, You know, just like objectively, the reason we're saying objectively 8.1 is superior is the fact that 8 to us when we dug into, I mean, there's too much volatility. It kind of had like split personalities. There were just too many artifacts, broken things in there. It didn't feel like the leap that we were promised or told about, right? And then again, like got delayed to then get.
Play from 0:03:40 Thus felt like the version that we were expecting and hoping for from the beginning. Yeah, could have just waited three more weeks for this and just been like really happy about it and not like I'm never going to use this tool again. It's kind of like teetering on the was teetering on, you know, the breaking point where it was like, all right, what am I supposed to do with this now? Now can't even get what I want. I can't even get something that's that like I entertains me. And now it's back to entertaining me.
Play from 0:04:05 So, you know, that's that's good. Still wait for the edit model to see what we can do with it beyond that. But yeah. Yeah. I was just, again, I thought about doing a post on it. I ended up doing a post on LinkedIn, but I was just like, the 8.1 is legitimately good. It's good. But the real inflection point, like we've been saying, is the edit model. That's got to be legitimately great in order to start pulling people back in to more of the process and spending more time in mid-journey specifically.
0:04:09The edit model is the real test
Play from 0:04:39 And I think we can all agree, that just opens up a million more use cases for mid-journey that we're now relying on things like NanoBanana for. Yeah. And look, it's like the thing that if they nail an edit model that will be so much easier than every other platform is that you can use things like style reference and keep the keep the aesthetic and keep the everything without like you going into something like nano, you have to you have to prompt for every single thing.
Play from 0:05:10 Like it's fine if you have a whole system built out you can do it. It's just like I don't want to like every single time write six paragraphs. Sometimes I just want to drop in the style reference and be like, this. Right. And then there's things like Luma agents that people really like. I've played with it a bunch. It's like I like the idea of it. I just don't like the no control layer where it's like it can just go and do a bunch of things.
Play from 0:05:35 And even if you're still like approving the plan, it just like doesn't come out the same way you do it. Right. If it's like simple shit like I need to do like a Like a 360 hero shot for a can of soda. Like, yeah, you can go do that in there. But if you wanted to do something a little bit more visually impactful, which I now think the other thing I wanted to say before this is like, think we're finally meeting the point where like, if they have the edit model and it can do and keep the things consistent, they need to stay consistent.
Play from 0:06:04 Then that plus the video models have now caught up to where it can handle the style and it can handle the complexity of it. And then you can finally put to work in a real fun way. Instead of just, let me create the bass style in mid-journey, go to nano, it doesn't look the same, but let me keep trying. then, yeah. has been very fragmented forever. um You know, since we've kind of started this whole thing.
0:06:22Should Midjourney even chase video?
Play from 0:06:31 But yeah, that's a that's a really great point. I mean, that that that does roll into kind of what they did mention in Office Hours Tour is like they mentioned something about the video model. um So current focus images, better ROI user accessibility. Video is expensive to train unclear profitability. future plans, another video model eventually, long-term interest in real-time simulations, not just linear video.
Play from 0:06:59 it's just like, does Midjourney even want to play the video game anymore? Or do you just want to bring other video tools into it? Are they thinking, are any of the secret projects they're working on expand beyond just video and they just skip video entirely, right? So it's interesting because I would, yeah, I would. actually would rather them not even get into the video stuff, just go full throttle with these big changes on the image and still side and you know, again, the edit model and like that experience and hopefully that connects.
Play from 0:07:37 I'm sure it does like connects to some of these other things that we just don't know that they're working on yet rather than engaging in this long tedious process of getting a video model together, putting all your resources and money there and then getting something that even if it's great at the time, probably gets leaked in the next three to six months after that anyway. So then what does that actually do for you? You know, they don't have, I mean, yeah, they do have money, but uh again, not funded.
Play from 0:08:05 So that does change some of the decision-making and priorities. It definitely got some money coming in. There's other sources that are coming in. It's like, if they just focused on making an edit model that was a banger, then really doubling up on the text, then really doubling down on what makes Nano great, it's like if they just focused on all that and just did all that, you'd have a really, really strong case for being the best model.
Play from 0:08:36 You know what mean? Aesthetically still unmatched, right? People complain about the realism. I understand that. Like, you know, you look at some of the other ones like Reeve is really good. Grok is actually like my sleeper. I was just like awesome. Yeah. I think like we were at the end of 25, we're just like, dude, watch out for Grok. I feel like 26 is gonna be the year of Grok. They've got so much resources and it's just, the way that it's embedded into everybody's daily life, right, is just unmatched too.
Play from 0:09:09 And it's got the thing is it has a little bit of Midjourney to it where it's like, okay, like you can just type in a little bit, you know, you don't have to control everything and it'll give you something that's aesthetically interesting. And then the video side of it, just like works like it's super cheap to run. If you're doing anything via API or just doing it through GROK itself, which is like testing purposes. I think it's outstanding. Like I really, if I was like going for this more aesthetic sort of like look where I wanted something that was a little bit more extreme, maybe a little bit more out there.
Play from 0:09:41 It's like Midjourney than grok. Like that's those are two. And then I don't really go anywhere. Like now I go for control and for like precision. Like that's like a scalpel, right? Reeve I go for a little bit, probably a little less on that Midjourney grok scale. And then, you know, it's like, that's, that's what I play with. And I don't really go too far away from those, but it's, it's like, if they can just nail.
0:10:07v8.1 needs more prompt depth
Play from 0:10:08 If it becomes something any of the platform isn't built for like Like super, you know production heavy stuff. It's like very it's still very just like creator platform um But like, you know, I use it now for a lot more things than I was two months ago like using like I don't know what like the last probably January February I wasn't using it like at all.
Play from 0:10:34 It was maybe if I felt like I had time which I didn't Go in there. But now it's like, I can do a lot more interesting stuff here. um A lot more control, a lot more, you know, the thing that I definitely noticed that carried over from V8 to 8.1 was the level of depth and prompting is you definitely need to give it more. um It's not as simple as it was with V7 or V6 where, you know, war criminal enter awesome.
Play from 0:11:06 You need to definitely feed it a little bit more. Get a little bit more in depth with it. Bye. I still think you can simple prompt if you've got mood boards set up accordingly, right? Like, ah and I've got some examples I can show that because I think that's yes, right? Like I think in general, you should be putting more context and descriptors and uh that sort of thing into the prompt.
Play from 0:11:36 You know, the coherence definitely is different. Right? Like there still is that creativity and magic. It feels like it took just like it went down just a notch, you know, in terms of like putting a word in and doing a heavy lifting part of it. But yeah, I do think that's I do think that's like interesting to talk through. Let me let me share this too. And like maybe we can kind of start to go through some of this stuff. There's like there was one.
Play from 0:12:01 So one of the things I started on was was mood boards. And again, those simple prompts. Like I just wanted to see how well it would interpret some of these things uh with the mood boards with very little context. And I thought it did like extremely well. mean, so much better than like much better than eight. uh You know, like just all all cool shit still reminded me a little bit of like that magic with V7 and interpreting the mood boards.
0:12:07Mood boards feel usable again
Play from 0:12:36 huh. But ah I think the thing I was looking for that eight didn't have right was, I was thinking the mood board resolution and coherence would get better. didn't. This I think ah is an area that I'm gonna go deeper on even after we do this, which is again, just really just try to break, like see where the breaking point with mood boards is. Because I think like from the simple standpoint, think it did a really good job of capturing what I have inside.
Play from 0:13:06 my mood board references. And then I also wanted to like weigh and experiment with, again, the magic and creativity without the context, just the mood board stuff. And so I thought like it did a pretty good job on that. um So like I kind of ran a lot of those, like I ran some of those tests and again, like then I kind of went through another, like a very similar mood board. Actually, I think it was the same one with more of a very specific prompt, you know, just to kind of see how it would.
Play from 0:13:35 as well, right? Like there's a lot more details in here. That was interesting. I kind of stayed around stylize 150 there because for the longest time, it's like those lower stylize 102 has been kind of, think, both of our sweet spots. Quick question here. Do you have in this prompt, I can't see it, are you specifying how much of the person's body is shown in this or does it say close up?
Play from 0:14:02 it says macro close up. Okay, nevermind. That was one thing I've noticed is that when I didn't specify that for the first time, it didn't go to medium, it's like defaulting to close up. I just said like, if you said war criminal for me, whether it's my personalization code or whatnot, everything is defaulting to close up. So that's a... That was an interesting one, because normally it's like defaults to medium shot, right? Or like something along those lines, but...
0:14:28Testing the new describe tool
Play from 0:14:28 There was, I also wanted to test like the describe, because they were like, hey, we launched this new describe. How good is it? Right? Because I was like, yeah, remember we were just like, you can stand that up right away. Like we probably have one that you could use that was better than what they had. um I thought, okay, so I'm trying to, man, I wish I had, I wish it gave me the original image here for what I used for the describe.
Play from 0:14:56 because I ran all four, right? But it doesn't give me the original image, don't think, does it? No. That would be nice to have. I think that should be. Normally it stays in there. It's not here. I mean, it was there originally. But it's not here. Yeah, it's not here with any of these. But I ran that test and I think I wanted to just see how close it got it.
Play from 0:15:22 ah What I noticed is a few things. The language and the structure and architecture of the describe has changed a lot. ah You can just kind of, yeah, it's true. Yeah, why don't we do that? Let's take this. Here, let's go here, but I am gonna have to find where I was at again. It's gonna be a big pain in the ass.
Play from 0:15:49 You Let's see. Good call. Yeah, we should just do this live. and more detailed. You know what I'm saying? This is not the type of prompt we have ever gotten with describe in the past. And you remember the describe where it would give you all the tokens, and you're just like, oh, this token, this token. But. don't miss that. It was fun, but it wasn't the most accurate thing, right?
Play from 0:16:18 Now, but this looks like they just changed the system prompt because this shouldn't be that hard to do. think I was like, I was good with it, but it wasn't, it didn't blow me away. That's the thing I wanted to point out with it. I ran a few different examples of it. Let me find back where I was at. So.
Play from 0:16:44 Like I had, there was a shot I had here. Actually, I think I might have it in one of these so we can actually follow along. It was this. This was the image I tried describing. I just thought this could be a really good one, right? You've got a clear subject, you've got color, there's some depth here. Like, let's see what it comes back with. ah These are the ones that I got back. They're cool shots, but it's different.
Play from 0:17:10 It's different. The distance, number one, like to your point, these are all close. This is not close. mean, it's it's close in the sense that it looks like this image was zoomed into with a lens, right? Or cropped. This doesn't feel like that at all. Right? Like these feel like the shot that came straight out of camera.
Play from 0:17:36 So like that depth of it. is different. first prompt says a close-up, so it's doing that. It says close-up eye level medium shot, which is interesting. Those are conflicting ideas. We have a image capture on scene chest up. All right. Well, that's because it could be hard to describe that one, like you said, because it does look like it's close-up and medium, but it is taken from distance.
Play from 0:18:05 like a telephoto lens-style shot. And the other thing I was interested is like this person is, I mean, it's a man, but it's, it does take you a second. So will it pick up on that? It didn't pick up on that, right? Like it couldn't, it didn't identify in any of these man. It just says older person, elderly person, elderly individual, old person.
Play from 0:18:34 So I thought that was kind of interesting too, right? um So it couldn't really tell that. Then I kind of wanted to like get into something that was a little bit more complex. Like there's just a lot more going on. um And ran this, although I don't have the original easily. I'd have to search for it, but it was good. I mean, they're different. It's just not that one for one that you might expect or hope for.
Play from 0:19:05 if you're trying to recreate something very, very closely. It's in the ballpark. And I think that's the takeaway. It's in the ballpark and you can still get great stuff. It's just not the one-to-one replication that you might be thinking you're gonna get. It's, it's, this still is a mystery to me as to why this is so hard, but it shouldn't be. This was like this was an image that I took from like a style reference too, because I wanted to see like there's a lot more complex colors.
Play from 0:19:34 There's a lot like there's a lot of hard descriptors here. It actually did really well on this one. uh So I thought that was kind of interesting. These two. This one was blah. This one just for reference and context. This was just taking my. image that I currently have here of this kind of like blurred crown. See if it would get that didn't get that. It didn't identify a crown there.
Play from 0:20:00 actually resembling a crown or a mask uh resembling a crown or a stylized face. an abstract life formation. you see what I'm saying? Like those almost like real, I don't know, not microscopic, but like detailed. depth. There's something missing there. There's something missing. I get that. It's like there's a few things that still, you know, they need like a little bit of ironing out.
Play from 0:20:30 But like to me, there was there was some really good stuff and some really like, um you know, like when I first started using it, I was like, why is this why is this not listening kind of thing? And then it just like dialed back in once I mostly it's the I feel like it's if you're not using profile codes, if you're not using your personalization profile, like the base model still better, but still like just like It's like it doesn't know what to do without the personalization codes, um which I'm guessing they said is why it's so important.
0:21:00Personalization profile matters most
Play from 0:21:02 just a reminder, probably shouldn't have to do this, but let's remind people, you have got to spend time on your personalization profile. That is the anchor of all the quality that you're gonna get. I got a couple, oh I run through a couple more things here and then I'll, you we can kind of see if I miss anything that you did that is different. But I also wanted to see like text and I wanted to see like object.
Play from 0:21:30 Like would it pick up on the exact like mode? Does it know what a Modelo bottle looks like? No, no. What is it? Does it have that one? Does it say it on that bottle with the label? You get Modelo, right? you don't see like, you Modelo's got the the reason I picked Modelo, you know, it's got the gold leafing on it, right? That you got to peel off. It's not the shape of bottle either. So it's a little bit outside the norm. So I picked that one on purpose just to kind of see.
Play from 0:21:57 And I couldn't get like just again, not without describing the bottle without describing the gold leafing. I couldn't get it to identify that. So take that for what it's worth. But if you were to put that kind of request into something like you know, Nano Banana, it's going to get it. So I just want to kind of I wanted to prove that point. I also want to kind of see the text as well, right? um Better still still not great like so I did like another test of like.
0:22:09Text tests and object recognition
Play from 0:22:27 Drew sippy cup do not touch and I just yeah, I just like wanted to again. Kind of give it. I want to stretch it. You know, they did say, right, like you're be able to do more than just like a word or two, but you know, obviously not like nothing too long. So this I felt like this was kind of like one of those in the middle requests. But I mean, you know, obviously misspell an additional not uh some of these were OK, some weren't.
Play from 0:22:55 So you got two that are. I'll come back to this observation in a second, because there's also another interesting one. These ones that did these ones that did. Okay, actually better than I remember. Looks fairly integrated too, which is something that's like my one of my pet peeves with the other platforms. Yeah. Yeah. It looks like someone like canva did on top instead of like it actually like with that marker one, if you said that there's one where you have it written in marker and it's like half fading away like that.
Play from 0:23:27 Like that's, that's not something that normally, even though do not touch looks way more like I put that on there versus like Drew Sippy Cup looks like you actually wrote it cause the E is smaller than the W. and things like, like little things like that when you're looking at this stuff, you know, it's like, that's, that's nice. I'm not going to go here and say that the best of text, but it's just a nice thing to notice. And I'm noticing like different typefaces. Yeah, like before it just seemed like it had a serif, it had a sans and it had a mon.
Play from 0:23:56 Yeah. So the other observation that came out of this too though was, you know, I trained a model or a personalization profile just with things, you know, that looked good that I thought I might use, have use cases for. That included both realism and other styles. Okay, now here's the observation, right? I just put a water bottle. didn't say what kind of, I didn't say anything else about the style of this.
0:23:57“Photo” vs art and stylize tests
Play from 0:24:23 So that's an important note here because You're seeing these ones all feel real and then you get something like this. OK, I didn't ask for that. It threw it in there. uh I also didn't say photo anywhere, so I think like the takeaway here and I I did another test with this is I ran this same prompt, which is very detailed, both with photo in front and without, and they're very, very different results.
Play from 0:24:52 Very, very different so. If I were to go here. I got photo in front and it's, look, I just threw the word photo in there. I wasn't trying to like make this look beautiful or anything, but you you can just see they're all more realism. Okay, so then I tested this with different stylized weights as well. Awesome thing to go back to because I think Rory, like I wasn't getting like these things that didn't look super unrealistic anymore at these higher values now.
Play from 0:25:25 So I thought that was, you know, that was kind of interesting. Because this is, we're getting to stylized 500, stylized 750, that doesn't look like stylized 750 from past models to me. Well, like, sorry, just had, was just a big crack of thunder outside and Luna just freaked out and I was like, okay, there we go. But you're, so you're saying that stylize isn't doing what it, what like a, like a thousand isn't doing like the heavy over stylization.
Play from 0:25:57 Yeah, I don't think so. think it's it's different. It's different now. So I think like that was the other thing is I want to put in the same prompt. I did a 100, a 200, maybe a three, a five, a seven, 50 and a thousand. you know, there's very to me, there's very little difference between these. mean, this you have your profile on, right?
Play from 0:26:23 And you have, do you have a mood board on this one or no? No move, no move board, just profile. See, that's where I like, because you know, it's supposed to pull in more of profile and mood board where I've actually found some interesting like lesser blends on the lower end of the spectrum. And then also like 900 to 1000 to me just is so much more extreme in this model than it was in eight or seven.
Play from 0:26:51 That's just my observation, but I'm also not doing clean things most of the time. They're like a chaotic and. this up because I feel like again, this is the like because we've got this whole different model and it's acting in a different way. It's time to revisit. The things that you normally don't think about anymore and are just kind of your default modes, which usually for me it's like stylized one to two is you know somewhere in between there. Maybe 150 is probably been my sweet spot for awhile.
Play from 0:27:19 Now I gotta second guess that but uh last part of this right taking away the word photo. running the same thing. wants a default to art. We're getting more, yeah, more art, less realism. So I think my takeaway from that is it kind of goes back to what we were talking about with the prompt structure a while ago, where I think like putting it into a container, whether it's photo or a category within photography, editorial photography, fashion photography, whatever it is, I think does matter if you're treating your personalization the way I am, which is just.
Play from 0:27:59 kind of like across styles, things that I like, things that I could potentially create in the future. Or you just create a profile that's specifically dedicated toward realism, illustrative, or whatever. But I think it's important to know, nonetheless. That's what I've done. I went and recreated my profile codes from what I had in V6, I think, where was like had one that was only photo realistic. I had one that was only focused on 3D renderings and being a softer texture.
Play from 0:28:28 And only one that was focused on super high contrast, gritty, whatnot. had those again. And again, stuff takes like five minutes now. It doesn't take a month to get there. You can just rip through and click stuff, which is good. because it's needed. But, there's, it does. how it was showing up here before? You don't really know what you have selected.
Play from 0:28:54 There's not an easy way to tell. So if somebody from Midjourney is listening to this, I would note that. There's gotta be just some easy way to know what's turned on, um maybe beyond just kind of like the create page, I guess. If you hit the little minus sign on your uploads, does that give it more space? I haven't tried it yet. No, still kind of the same. Gives like styles more. And then if you've got more than six mood boards, right?
Play from 0:29:20 And you might have one of these turned on that's way down here. Yeah, I have like 50 and it's a problem. I never know where it is. I think that that's just like the one other thing. But beyond that, ah yeah, dude, those are sort of like some of the tests that I had time to run. So for what it's worth, I would just say, glean what you want from that. Also, if you're listening to this, run your own tests.
Play from 0:29:47 I think there's probably some interesting discoveries to be made just because I think this model is, it's different. It's its own thing. Definitely different. like it feels I don't know if this is just me, but it feels like it got a little like V6 back like in a good way, like a little V6, a little darker, a little more, you know, a little moodier. This is the vibe I'm getting because I'm getting stuff that I used to get in V6 now.
0:29:54Why v8.1 feels a bit like v6
Play from 0:30:17 And it's like it makes me happy. It's because the one thing that's that's somewhat upsetting me. I don't know if there's a fix to it. I had to go create mood boards with them. But like, I know you probably got some some favorites of the style codes back from V6 days. And I you know, I like to go back to them and use them, but they work differently. Like this, there's the core things that are still there, but they definitely don't work the same.
0:30:43Old style codes hit differently now
Play from 0:30:46 Yeah. that was the one thing. I didn't run a lot of SREF stuff. So I would love to see what you got there. Yeah, whole chaos is about to be on display. Dude, we're at Chaos 100 always, so let's do it. So I'm here. These are, let's see, do I have the style codes on this? No. But, you know, again, like I'm going to go try to find, I know I ran it with V6 again to try and, let's see if I can find it real quick where I did.
Play from 0:31:24 Cause I ran the style codes at V6 to make sure I wasn't losing my mind, that they were different. And then try to do them again as combos here. All So this was, This was V6. I really liked the way these... should have given me a white and red profile with metallic features, super high contrast, and just this overall very contrasting style aesthetic.
Play from 0:31:53 This was what I was fired up with when I was... Yeah. And this was mashing a few of them together. And then when I do this same code with the same prompt... Right? Like I get stuff that looks like this, which is like different, cool, but different. You know, like it's not the same. ah So. a second. Because you remember when we were doing this, remember they launched that new, it was SV7.
Play from 0:32:22 Remember how we were kind of, did you try any of that with this and see how that, because I'm wondering if that's it. And if that's not it, then I don't know why that would be. just so we can look at this all at the same time. Do your SV. uh Are you wanting to do the? Let's just do... I wonder if it's... it's probably not gonna run.
Play from 0:32:47 Let's just do this real good because with the profile codes. Let's um... which was cool when I typed in v6.1 and put p like my old 6.1 code came up. That's just for anyone that wants to... anyone that wants to have a good time. Let's just see. This one... see I'm gonna have to turn a ton of stuff off. But like... all right so we just... dude, love, there's one, mean, well, a couple of those are good, but I love this one right there with the numbers on the face on the left bottom.
Play from 0:33:19 Yeah. Sick. There's... Dude, there's a few that I ran here that I'm like... Like, when they throw in something like that... There's that one right there too one. Yes, you're on it right now Yes sick That one is nasty nuts with these like some of these are so fucking cool. And sorry for my language. But it's like I, I feel good to get back to this.
Play from 0:33:45 Look at those. Look at that. That damn skin texture that I've been looking for for a while now the cracked lips like everything that I've that I've wanted for so long to be back like all this detail on like the cracked paint. on the face, the fur here. Like this is all what I've been looking for and I haven't gotten it in a long time. those colors. I love everything about that stuff.
Play from 0:34:10 I was going nuts with this. This is what I was talking about, just pushing the button and just getting what I was looking for. then, you know, this was baking in some of the eh some image refs, which I was using. then, you going back a little bit further, I was trying some of this all like this again, just killer, you know, with the textures and like everything that's going on for me.
Play from 0:34:36 You know, like I love yeah. I love using these like decorated faces and stuff like that. When I started doing, you know, I was trying to do contrasting textures with the fur and the bones and everything else here. But again, like I said, I just kept pushing the button and I was like, all right, I love, you know, like I love this. Like this is so perfect for me. Like I want to go and animate this now into something. I don't know what I want to do with it, but I want to do something with it. Right.
Play from 0:35:01 It's like, it's so unique. You can't get this stuff in other plat another platforms, which is why I've been here in the first place for so long. Right. And I'm just like, as you guys can see, this is me just like, I'm just gonna run it on every different style variation. Let's run the exp up all the way, see what it does. You know, let's drop the chaos. Let's ramp the chaos. Let's that to me is what I'm having fun.
Play from 0:35:29 It's like when I keep wanting to keep going, and I'm trying to find the end here, but I don't know where it is. This is just me last night and probably like 20 minutes. Yeah, yeah, just like, I get so amped about the textures and things that I get these like spiky textures, get the soft textures with braided textures, skin, just super, super, like detailed. There's so much going on in here.
Play from 0:35:56 um You know, some of these with the trying to get. Wow, I really went nuts last night, huh? This is there's so many like this is why I posted this one, I think was just Nasty. Got me with the acne on the face too. Was very nice to see because you're just so used to the skin. Where am I here?
Play from 0:36:21 God, I did way too many. um I was going a little crazy, as you can tell. there's... Let's go back to... Oh yeah, Jesus, some of these are just... Like rock and roll. Yeah. textures, things, all just weirdness. This was that original one that I've I then sourced to make all those other ones with that color scheme, because I was like, just like that a lot.
Play from 0:36:50 That Mac, right. But here's here's some of the other like this was the this should be using that same. So if we go, that's going to be hard to go back. Let me just use this same one here. Let's go. Where is the... This one should be... No, here we go.
Play from 0:37:16 All right. These is more, this is more of what we were looking for. Sorry for the dead air, everyone, but this was kind of like what we were trying to get to was the difference in the, in the different like style. It's the same style codes, right? Should be the same profile codes. Maybe I've got one extra in there, but really it's not. Nothing that I've done is coming close to sort of this look, which is what I was going for.
Play from 0:37:46 And it's coming more so. It's got like a lot more light, as you can see to it. It looks like some are, one of the style codes maybe taking over more than the others. Dude, the texture on this is just insane. Like a... old man, because I'm trying to look at every thing that you have in here, because I'm wondering what the disconnect is. You know, is it? don't think it's much. Hold on, I've got to turn everything on.
Play from 0:38:12 This is the one thing that's so annoying. on this. Let me turn the mood boards off just so I can. sure there's nothing on. don't think there's anything on because it's hard to run like tests like this. And I want you to run one too with the SV6 and SV7. Let's see if there's like something there. As well.
Play from 0:38:38 Alright, so this should be the exact, this is the exact same prompt as this one. Just V8 verse, crap, it's not the same one. War. variables that you have to double check. this one and then that's it okay now this should be Alright, so these should be, let's just trash these real quick so we can look at them side by side.
Play from 0:39:07 So this should be the same thing. Right? Like it's way more and see what's going on here. Everything is close up and these are all medium basically, but it's got a different aesthetic to it. Like it just, it's not the same. 16 millimeter would be an interesting test too. Cause like 16, you would get distortion in the face size because it's close up.
Play from 0:39:38 Whereas those other ones are further back, so you're probably not gonna see the distortion. You would get more of the scene. So I wonder, like, what if you just drop 16 mil and see if it defaults to something close up and then... Let's see, let's do 2-1 first to see if we get a little bit wider on this. Alright, so let's do that and then we'll then I'll run this again.
Play from 0:40:06 Dropping 16 mil. I'll do this again dropping 16 mil. So there was something about this style code combination that I couldn't get enough of. It was just like everything I always wanted from a weirdness and like a aesthetic profile.
Play from 0:40:34 This is a fun one. I don't know what's going on there. But yeah, see how it's like there's way more like it's just it's like a tan texture with like this orange that seems to keep bleeding through while this is more red and black and white with like the little bit more. I don't know how to don't know how to describe it, but. it's like the white balance is maybe a little bit more warm and it looks a little bit less saturated.
Play from 0:41:08 There's not as much contrast. that it does. This was the first time I ran it with that, and it gave me this, which I'm like, that's unique. I kind of really like this. I don't know. It looks like it's painted concrete, but worn at the same time. A very interesting style profile then. um There's some really, again, this is a very textured, really random kind of style that just sort of picked up from it.
Play from 0:41:38 And I was like, all right. I could screw with this. Like this one was cool to me. This looks like a very different style of like 3D animation where it's like, it's got this super like cracked texture on like that soft 3D looking face. Like this one I also loved. was like, that's really cool. Don't know what, like I couldn't, I couldn't tell you what that is just from looking at it. It's a horse, but like, what is it? Is it a statue? Is it a, is it real? it, you know, like it's why, that's why I like it.
0:42:08sv7 issue and style-code confusion
Play from 0:42:09 There's some really cool stuff going on. What is that? isn't supported with 8.1. So that's interesting. It's gotta be at six. I would think it's six. Also, I tried just by comparison if it would work with four SV4, which was the latest one before six, right? It's not supported in 8.1 either. So I would assume it's six.
Play from 0:42:38 Although it doesn't tell us in the sort of tags there on the right. So four doesn't work, five doesn't work, six works, seven doesn't work, huh. Okay. Interesting, bit better. This is actually really cool, like that. I these are all... I just love what this thing does with no sort of direction.
Play from 0:43:04 But yeah, it's definitely like... those older style codes. feel like the new ones are fine. you know, if I put this in, let's just use this, use this same prompt. you just put in like one of these ones that I've liked here before. Let's do this one. Try this. should be an easy way to, and maybe I'm just losing my mind here. Is there not an easy way to just, when you've got several SRF codes that you're smashing together to just generate one single new code that combines all three because we've got style creator?
Play from 0:43:40 Is that not possible? Am I just losing my mind and that exists? I don't know. It's a good question. know what mean? Because like why at this point would you need to do that if you've got style creator? Couldn't you load in all of those custom variations that you're stacking into a new code? That would just be a much better experience, right? Hold on, let's try something real quick. You just reminded me of something. Let's see if this works now.
Play from 0:44:07 Did this... I can't even remember. Does this still work on... Did style waiting still work on V7, or was that done? Like if I did... 3... 4... free. Is it gonna do it? Ah! single little thing and then now every model changes something somewhat and you're like, what still works?
Play from 0:44:38 um I don't know if it's registering, but I don't know if it's working. Let's try, hold on, let's drop this down to 1. I'll make this 4. Yeah, good idea. Does it work again? Looks like it's doing something. Maybe not.
Play from 0:45:07 Well, it's different color scheme. Let's try one more. Let's do this one. Let's do this one. Let's do it at 6. And we'll do this one at 1. 2. Let's see. Let's see, what do we got here? Because I think that would be interesting if that's back, or if it ever left.
Play from 0:45:32 I don't know, because I hadn't been using it in a really long time. All right, well, there's definitely something different going on here. Yeah. don't know, you really don't know how to feel about this model truly until you test and experiment all these things. mean, you... multi prompts anymore? I nearly couldn't in V7. they're talking about bringing them back. I don't know if they did. Nope.
0:45:47Missing parameters and what still works
Play from 0:45:57 Okay. Multitext prompt's not there, but can you still wait? Can you do profile codes? Can we do that? right now I know that it's missing the no parameter, I think tile and object reference, at least at the moment. Multiple, okay, that was my fault. I should have gotten rid of that. Let's see this. Let's see this.
Play from 0:46:23 or Q4 too while you're at it Rory at some point. I'm curious to see if that's in there. What, how, if those values, you know, that spectrum has changed at all. Let's see. I think it's... It looks... It looks like it's showing up here. now that we've got 2K native now.
Play from 0:46:50 I mean, this looks relatively the same. um Yeah, it's the same. There's definitely something, you know, this is so hard. Like, I didn't go on the isolation route here. You know, with my testing, went like, let's just bash everything together and see if it works again. Like, didn't even notice the fox or coyote on this guy's head until right now. um But there was one thing I noted that I did notice.
Play from 0:47:17 I want to go back, going back to your text point, right? This was yesterday. I was going through a bunch of this stuff. Um, these were my, I had a bunch of fails in here that I didn't like. Where is the text stuff I was doing? Is this it? No, or maybe this was V8 that I didn't mention it last time because it was here we go.
0:47:26Hidden text tests and image weight
Play from 0:47:47 I thought it was pretty, pretty cool. Some of this stuff was doing, I was making like a touch grass, touch grass sort of graphic with, with this. And there was a few here, like this one, I thought was really good that it got touch grass and stylized it in a really like intense way. Um, This one was also impressive to me because it's kind of hidden, even though it feels a little bit off. You can still, if you read it, it's touch, C, H, the grass, G, R.
Play from 0:48:16 The way it integrated into the text was cool to me. There's one where it's totally hidden, where not this one, not this one. I thought this was fun. This one was good. This one. where it's just like totally immersed in here, but you can see T-O-U-C-H-G-R-A-S-S, right? Like in between all of this chaos. So this was the most impressive one to me for text in that sense that it sort of like blended it and immersed it into the environment as well.
Play from 0:48:49 um Where if like I had to like really look at it, right? To say like, there it is T-O-U-C-H grass, which is what we should be doing, but you know, we're just living in here. and just having fun. were some, think, was this V8? Yeah, I was going with some heavy 80s dark fantasy, which of course I have to do, you know, to get my standard fix there. that was sort of, like I said, I was just pushing the button on some of this stuff and just like, hoping and praying that it would work.
Play from 0:49:22 then bashing, you know, image weight works again um really well. I thought that was super controllable. Yeah. back, image weight back, yeah. This one, think, has image weight. have 0.7 on this one. Using this one as using this as the reference, right? Definitely, definitely works. This is I think we go to just a one, right? So it's pretty like I was doing it. I was using it a lot as of recent, but I think there's some really cool stuff that still has to be explored.
Play from 0:49:53 Like I haven't really pushed the I got so obsessed with this last night that I didn't even do anything else. It's like. dive into any one of these. I was just thinking about EXP, like running that test again through the spectrum, which I just did. I don't know that it's worth showing. mean, but it's, you know, it's just, it almost, when I'm running this, when I just ran this and I'm trying to keep it with this similar prompt that I did earlier, but like going back to here, so no EXP.
0:49:57exp tests and behavior shifts
Play from 0:50:29 And then, so I ran five, 10. Then I get into 25, 50, 100. This is where it starts to change, I think. And then you kind of get like these different, like this again, I put photo, but this one is not a photo. More artsy. you know, I don't know, maybe there's like a little bit of like a chaos factor in here.
Play from 0:50:55 I don't know, but like you remember with EXP, with seven anyway, it seemed like the higher you would run up the EXP, for me, the more blue and pink it got. It just took my profile code and just launched it into another dimension. like, I can't even use the XP beyond 20. You know what I mean? So I always stayed around five. But I don't know. Again, there are just so many of these little tests that you can run.
Play from 0:51:23 So you got to figure out what this new model, how it's going to work for you. reminds me of Jax from Mortal Kombat. Remember? Do you see Street Fighter? Dropped a trailer for the new movie? I don't know if that was real or not. I saw it while scrolling on X. wait, did I see that or was that, which one did I see? I know, I don't think I saw that one. I saw the new Mortal Kombat.
Play from 0:51:49 I was thinking of the Mortal Glad that the 90s and the early 2000s are back in vogue. needed to revert back to a little bit more of a fun time. What's going on? It's the Street Fighter one. I saw it I could be wrong if you guys want to call me out in the comments. Maybe I'm wrong. I was just scrolling Twitter last night, late night, and saw it.
Play from 0:52:15 And I was like, oh, looks like someone did an AI trailer. But then I looked at the handle and it was Street Fighter movie. And I'm like, that's where we're at now. It's like stuff looks like, you the AI stuff that I scroll by or the real stuff I look I go by. I'm like, that's probably AI. Not even thinking twice about it. But there's this kind of like the is this what the X is this the XP dialed up? What's that?
0:52:35Grid view and the alpha site
Play from 0:52:40 uh Look at this. So I don't think this was here. Grid view. by the way, should have said this at beginning. You have to use 8.1 on the alpha site. I don't know if we mentioned that or not. It's not on the main site yet. It will be, but we were talking about that before. It's like just put on the main site. But I just noticed this, this grid view. You got another feature that I don't have. No, I don't think so.
Play from 0:53:06 Wait, hold on. Maybe I do. wait, I do. Sorry. this is way cooler. Yeah. I hadn't seen this yet. Right? That could be interesting. Yeah. So you got that. I was just thinking the same thing. I don't either. There's... what was the other thing that they...
Play from 0:53:31 what was the other thing that they said they updated? That was... was it image prompt? Updated describe? ah Prompt shortener. That was something they mentioned. I know I didn't try that. um I didn't use anything that was long enough to get there. Let's see, we got, let's yeah, let's definitely rip through some of this stuff that they said in office hours, because I didn't read any of it yet.
Play from 0:54:03 There's some good stuff in here. mean, talked about this already, missing no, possibly tile and OREF. So those aren't there. I mean, key improvements, harder to create bad images. I would say yes, that's true. More consistent quality, way better than V8. I don't know about seven right now off top of my head or not, but faster gen speeds for sure, better high res outputs for sure. Dude, I had somebody...
Play from 0:54:32 on LinkedIn legit tell me that they want V8 back in their piss that they're pissed that 8.1 exists. And I was like, you gotta be just trolling. You're just baiting. There's no way. How would you even feel that way? I mean, like, I got some good stuff, but I'm like, it's not like I miss it. I was just so confused by that. And then let's see what else we got here that's like really worth mentioning.
0:54:50Office Hours, 8.2, and edit timing
Play from 0:54:59 We kind of talked through this image sharpness detail blur handling. tweet. have you been doing the, have you upscaled anything from, what I've done is this is so, like all the times complaining about the upscaler and like how I kind of liked it because it softened some things out and cleaned some things up. There's times that I'm like, I like an image and I'm like, all let me go into edit real quick and just like put a dot on it, resubmit it so it's in seven.
Play from 0:55:26 could just use the upscaler to clean it up. That was like. man, I was just doing you know what's funny is I kind of stumbled into that same thing the other day when I was doing it. I made like a quick edit and then I saw the edits and I was like, there's an upscale button here. I was like, oh shit. Yeah. it in V7. like, OK, cool. That means I can use the... I forget which one is it, subtle or creative at some time that softens it out, doesn't add the texture.
Play from 0:55:53 um like, subtle was the primary, but like creative was good if you almost had some of those text or some things that it could like almost like smartly kind of figure out. it. Yeah. That's because I always like that one for sometimes my stuff gets too like textured because of my my profile codes like it get overly textured and then like I just wanted to push the button and like let's just let's just denoise this a little bit.
Play from 0:56:23 But v9 direction would you would you look at that we're mentioning that now already. uh 8.2 likely includes improved data sets and refinements. Now we're talking 8.2 already, okay. And don't miss this. So existing eight version exists of an edit model apparently, and they're upgrading it uh to 8.1 based right now.
Play from 0:56:50 Estimate timeline a few weeks. Just do that. Don't do the 8-1. So a few weeks Rory, mean, hopefully that's like, Yeah, we'll probably see it in August, but like, you know, let's see. me May, Because I mean, like, again, that's just such a critical factor here. And if it... I'll speak for both of us. I would rather wait longer for something legitimately great.
Play from 0:57:16 Yeah. And it's like, they probably have to just, you know, the video model, just like, whatever. Like, you can't keep up with turning the video model and trying to stay ahead on the image side, too, at this point. Like, it's great for what it is. I think it's tough to really, like, OK, now we have to change the model, then we have to change the video. You know, we have to upgrade the video. We also have to do mood board style references.
Play from 0:57:43 I mean, it was like idealist thinking back when we go back to our video. days of like, maybe we'll get like style reference for video or, you know, whatever else we were thinking back then mood boards for video, like all the things that they have for images. But at this point, like whatever, I just want cool stuff. I just want cool images again. Like that's all been waiting for. It's just the cool images I can use more than once and make some other stuff with. Oh man, the edit model.
Play from 0:58:09 mean, just please be legit. mean, and I just, when Midjourney figures out the text thing, which again, I think for the longest time, you I both thought, who cares about text. But now, with all the use cases of these anecdotes or not anecdotes, uh annotations, sorry. And just like the composite of having text involved in the image and.
Play from 0:58:36 things that could be used for social and campaigns, right? Like that would just unlock so much. I'm curious, what impacts, like what is the chicken, what's the egg in terms of, is the edit model, like once you figure that out, that then helps text for everything in the future, or is it figuring text out and then that goes into... that factors into the edit.
Play from 0:59:02 I'm just, I don't know exactly how that plays itself out behind the scenes, technically. know. I was wondering the other day if they were gonna start to do more agentic stuff too. If that's in their plans. I don't know if it is or not. But it just feels like everything else is going that route and maybe that's their point is to not do that. it seems like it'd be, you know, it's pretty interesting. The Luma stuff with Uni is actually pretty interesting.
Play from 0:59:29 Which is kind of like what we're saying with the push button switch camera angle kind of thing. And know, like FreePic has like one of the... I love that that piece and the little thing in free pick spaces where it's just like variations and then it'll it has like different presets for grids that you can do. You can also customize it, things like that, which I always find to be interesting, super easy, right? Like it's an easy way you want to get people to spend more money and more tokens like hit that button.
Play from 0:59:58 I'll hit that all the time. Right. So there's there's people doing things like they're branching. This used to feel like the only way to generate was like you put in a prompt, you hit the enter button, and it gives you a couple images. Now it's like it's going in a different creative directions. do you think? I'm curious to get your thought on that. You brought up something really interesting, which is this point about the variations based on perspective camera angles.
Play from 1:00:24 Like now, right? Like you could go in, oh man, I'd have to search. um I was having some fun with these folders though. I do like that. Is the newspaper covered? Yeah, yeah, so like on my desktop, I had already like done some ones, I like somebody posted something on X about like changing the texture from a folder like I like my brainchild one, like I just had my logo as the folder, so I would drop things in.
Play from 1:00:54 But then I was like, that's a cool idea, because like you could be, you know, sort of like really creative with that, you know, so I started creating like these folders. I'm sharing my screen, so I can't really show you the. eh the ones that are on my desktop per se, but like these are the ones like, you know, I did for my own stuff. Here's like, you know, one for my resume. I did one with like, you know, screen, like photos. So like these can actually look like the folders, you know, on your desktop.
Play from 1:01:20 You just drop things in. Wait, you can do that? You can change it? Hold on. Show that. I gotta figure out how I can show this. All right, so let me stop sharing this. Let's go screen. Don't send me on something to waste more of my time on that I really want to do. I spent a whole day just messing with this. What? Oh, come on. I had no idea you could do this.
Play from 1:01:47 the clod, my clod folder to a basketball texture. I changed this to a spray paint. created just a smiley face graffiti. Headshots that I use for stuff. I just created a Sony a7III camera, which is the one I have. PS tools, I just created one that looks like a Photoshop UI. Mox, resume, screenshot. I just wanna use it. I just wanna use it. You know what I mean?
Play from 1:02:13 So, I just... Dude, I spent way too long with that, but it was a lot of fun. um if anybody is interested in doing that, here's how you do it. So you just click this, get info, and then you go to whatever photo you have. I would say remove the background, right? And then you just drag this, and then there's a plus sign that comes up here.
Play from 1:02:39 I'm not going to do it because I don't want to change it. then you just click open the folder and it changes instantly. It's updated. Yep, it's awesome. It's cool. Damn it. Now you had to do this to me, right? You had to do this. it's like, that's our problem, man. Like I literally spent probably a good full day just like fucking around with that. Like I just, was like, what should I, you know, I don't know, it's fun, it's fun, highly recommend.
Play from 1:03:10 like that though. Like that's one of those things where it's like, mmm, sitting there by yourself. Yeah. Yeah. Cause I, you know, cleaned up my desktop with, with Claude many months ago and I was like, well, now I have like all this space on here. It's not, it's not a jungle. got to this point too where I wanted to change the trash can, like in your bottom right.
1:03:27Custom Mac folder icon detour
Play from 1:03:37 I was like, oh, I wonder if there's a way if I can change that. And so I opened up the trash. Let me see, what am I doing here? This is crazy, let's see. Share screen. Let's go back here. Boom, boom, boom. So I was going.
Play from 1:04:06 here. So opening this up and trying this over here. And then I was going to like trash get info because like when you do it on this icon down here, it doesn't work. So I was like, oh, here we go. Try to drag that over. Couldn't change that. And I was like, damn, that would be that would be cool because I can't like I found a really good one that I wanted to to use for it. So I saw I saw somebody doing the folders and then I was like, It reminded me, because again, I had them set up with icons, custom icons I created, but they weren't in the shape of folders.
Play from 1:04:44 And this guy had done it in the shape of folders. I was like, oh, duh. This would be, I could just apply that, right? And I can come up with whatever the hell I want. And then I wanted to change this trash can to something like this. You know what I mean? But it wouldn't let me. It wouldn't let me. But it was fun, man. It was cool. Did all this in free pick? All that. Yeah, just an all in free pick.
Play from 1:05:09 Like this is this one was I was just, you know, change the full detector to figma UI, you know, it was just it was fun, dude. It was so fun for no reason. things. It's definitely the little things. There's, you know, there was a, I don't know if I've said this on this podcast, there's one one little Claude. I don't know.
Play from 1:05:35 66 episodes, tell me. One little quad hack that's like, again, there's always, I find one that's like always like my new favorite. This one I did. One of the first things I did with a cowork like when it first released was I built a, an auto, an auto filter for my desktop. And it was like, it just routes everything as soon as it comes in. But the best one is screenshots. Like I just, I don't know if you have one of these like custom routes for like, built a screenshots folder and it's like every time it hits the desktop, And I like, cause it's always labeled the same thing for Mac, right in there.
Play from 1:06:12 Never clean it up ever again. was like, it's like the one thing I'm just like, thank God that this exists. And I'll probably never delete any of them now because they just sit in a folder and I keep, you know, just adding to it and adding to it and adding to it. But it's a, that like that one and same thing with downloads, like have, I have like certain download folders for various, for subfolders in the downloads, right? Yeah, like if I don't have, um like, you know, when you download from Midjourney, right, like the prefix is always like your username.
Play from 1:06:43 So like I'll have that as like, or it's like from Kling or from whatever, just like pops in there and then I can always, I always know where it is at some point, same thing. So it is not as cool as, you know, meat folders and graffiti folders, but quality of life. from that guy, had like the meat package. was like, is awesome. Like he had another one too where it was like moldy, like a moldy sandwich.
Play from 1:07:13 Like deli sandwich shaped like the folder. uh But I was just like, dude, you could go down that. I mean, you could just have. folder, something like that I just hate. you know, just bombs away with that. I don't know, like maybe somebody else that's listening to this knows, like, I'd be curious, like, can you do that outside of just those folders that I showed on the desktop? Because I, you know, like that would be cool to do.
Play from 1:07:39 Well, actually, I'm pretty sure you could probably do that in the subfolders of like downloads and stuff too. No reason you shouldn't be able to do that actually. an interesting one now it's like how much more of Mac is customizable that I don't know about which I never do anything to it so yeah yeah It's like, hey, I just found this out. What other ideas like this exist? Because that'd be great. Yes, dude, you could do it with the subfolders in there.
Play from 1:08:05 So like your downloads, all the folders in there. Now that would, you could spend a whole week doing that. Let's be honest. just tell it let's just give Claude an API and just batch process all of them. Just go do all of them. Like figure it out. Here's the exact template and then just do the exact same thing. You can do it. It's it's sick and I and now I'm I'm gonna do one which is a problem and then I'm gonna probably have to stop and not continue because then that'll be my whole weekend and my whole night and whatever.
Play from 1:08:39 But dude good one at the end there of course there's always a little nugget at the end. Always. like there's always something we're just like, by the way here. After talking about an hour of what we have to talk about, then we remember the cool stuff. Right at the end. ah should we, do we have anything else on Midjourney or should we wrap that one up? I think that's it, man.
1:09:01Wrap-up and parting nonsense
Play from 1:09:04 like we had the office hours notes up. just, I don't think there's anything that's really groundbreaking here. I mean, we talked about, yeah, we talked, I mean, yeah, again, they just talk about maybe an 8.2 in the V9, but again, there's no dates or expectation there. I think the reality is they mentioned they're gonna focus on the upscaler and they're gonna focus on the edit model.
Play from 1:09:30 Those are the next two things in the pipe. yeah, that's probably worth mentioning. That's the radar. um I think that's it, man. I think we covered a lot. It was good to of like go deep again on some of these tests and stuff, because nothing's changed in a while, right? Like drastically like that. there really wasn't any, was like the style crater was like the last thing. I think that was that was probably it. But now I probably get back into all that.
Play from 1:09:58 See what you know, see what's going on. Still still got its hooks in me. Can't can't get rid of it. So it's. I was liking those images. Yeah, those are sick. um it's my... my guilty pleasure. It's making like really... we'll figure out that SRF thing too. Like I feel, I wonder what the deal is with that. Is that just the new architecture that is affecting that, that is not something that you can manually change with a dash dash or what is it?
Play from 1:10:28 I mean, we'll have to figure that one out. Yeah, definitely gonna have to figure that one out. Because it annoys me that I can't get the same style code as like the old one. Yeah, but that's uh problem for another day. We'll figure that one out. Problem for another day. should we do this? Who do we have to tell? We've got to keep figuring out who these people should tell if you're still here, number one.
Play from 1:10:57 Like and subscribe. If you're here still here, you subscribe. So just like or something. Do something like that. And then if you haven't told anyone, you can tell your tax accountant. That's a good one because it's just about that time of year. Yeah, tax accountant, your post office worker, because I've had to go there this week, which was bad. I don't know if you've been to a post financial advisor, your local crossing guard, maybe.
Play from 1:11:24 That's a good one. Oof. Anyone else that we can think of here? Maybe your plumber? If you've got any plumbing issues going on? If anyone's lucky enough to have a pool, probably getting towards the time of year where you need to get... Yeah. Yeah. Anyone. Yeah. guys hop out of the truck at one time. There you go. store clerk. This is the time of year you're gonna get like people doing projects and stuff.
Play from 1:11:51 That's, you know, go in there, tell them what's up. But did it's... you say the pool? Did you say public pool? Like lifeguard type? we want to go that route? I mean, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's a bunch of new ones that we hadn't had before. those were, we had the lowest penetration in those particular demographics. Yeah, yeah.
Play from 1:12:18 Yeah. us. Lifeguards were failing. So you guys need to go tell the lifeguards. Yeah, that's it. Bye. Unbelievable. Well, thanks for joining us. Glad to be back and we'll catch you guys in the next one. Have a great weekend. Peace.
