Play from 0:00:01 What's up, Midjourney nerds? Midjourney Fast Hours podcast. Rory Flynn, Drew Brucker. It's been I don't know, [ __ ] months. Weeks. Feels like two months. It does. Since the last time we It's my fault. We were able to get in the same room because we've both just been busy, broken toe in Sicily. Like, you name it. You name it, we've we've done it. So, it's awesome to be back because obviously there's a lot a lot to catch you up on. So much, man. I I was gone for nine days. Felt like I was gone for nine months. I come back, it's like seven platforms made huge updates. I read the I read the update for Omniref while I was like sitting in a car on the

Play from 0:00:46 way to like I don't know wine tasting or something and it was like four paragraphs and it's like if you want to use OB you know object weight 400 with exp 20 like that might balance it out but if you're trying to do products use you know object weight 20 I'm like what did I miss and now now I'm like having like a mild panic attack that I have to like spend so much time but you know what this This has been this has kind of been fun, you know, like there's there's been a lot more just kind of things dripping like we like they talked about like we talked about which hasn't felt like that's been the case for a while and uh this is definitely fun, right?

Play from 0:01:25 Like it's better. We're all busy. I mean, the fact that you can kind of like get one or two new things at a time, play around with them, understand how they're going to fit and how you're going to use them. I mean, we've talked about it, but that's that's always like a really great way, you know, to to kind of like expand what you already know and then, you know, just kind of think about how you want to do things differently. I thought, um, well, what what have we got so far, right? Like since V7 dropped, we got we got a new editor. We got a now an updated new editor. Yeah. There's exp parameter, which we'll talk about today. There's omni reference, which dropped. We'll talk about that today. Um, object weight parameter. Yep. Yep. Personal personalization system. New

Play from 0:02:11 personalization system like probably missing a ton of things. Improved aesthetics like over over, you know, the core since it's launched. So, yeah. I mean, there's been a few things, man. It's just it's crazy that I I don't know. Maybe David and the team will take this as a lesson. That's a good one. That we don't need all of this at if they dropped all of this at once.

Play from 0:02:37 Exactly. This would be chaos. Like, do you know what I mean? Just like this is the You wouldn't even be able to comprehend it. Like, and that's why it's like anytime you hear somebody in in the update, it's just there's so much. I mean, like even we were talking about with just V7, understanding the model, understanding the coherence, like playing with all the the variables with the parameters, right? like that alone can keep you busy for weeks. Now, you know, you've got all these new things and again just adds more fuel to the fire. Um I will say though, go ahead. I will say, you know, that meme of like Idris Ela from the wire where it says like call everyone we back up like you know let everyone know that we're back. Turn is back. I see it on I see it so much more.

Play from 0:03:23 I love me a good wire reference. Yeah. Like I go on Twitter now and it's back to being like a ton of Midjourney. Like it's stopped being Reeve. It stopped being, you know, all this chat, you know, action figures. It's like back to, you know, people are like, you know, just need something new, right? And now they have it every week. Like here we go. Like this is the churn. This is good. And these small updates, they give us enough to like get in, digest it, get good at it, like leverage it, and then drop something new, and then we forget about the 50 other things that they've released in the last like, you know, two months. So, not to cut you off there, but No, no. I'm I mean, there's like there's this this episode is going to be so packed because like there's so many things that we could talk about within

Play from 0:04:09 it. I'm wondering what you think about if we also touch on some of these office hour notes that just dropped today because we're recording this on a Wednesday today. Again, our schedules are off, but there was actually some like stuff in there that is probably worth talking about. And again, like I didn't see Q4 in in the notes here, but like Q4 is another thing coming soon, right? Like but that dropped that's out. Oh, did it? Q4 Q2 those are back. Q2 is back. Q4 is out. Oh, okay. I didn't know Q4 was already out. Maybe it's not. I was using it. Maybe it was just defaulting to something else. I was But it worked. Let's see what's actually Let's, you know, let's just test it out.

Play from 0:04:51 Let's just do this live. Do it. See if I'm crazy. See if everyone, you know, can uh everyone can see it live. Let's just see. Um, let's should we run a Q2 version versus a Q4 version and see if there's any difference there. R, let's just do F1. High precision precision. Is that how you spell precision motor sport photography? Let's just go F1 car racing in Monaco. And then we'll just do 169. Let's do Q one two 4. See what

Play from 0:05:38 happens. Oh, damn it. I used the Omni ref. That's going to come out way weird. Whoopsie. Let's just take this out. That's going to be some of the weirdest generations. That'll be wild. Q12. And we got fast mode back. That was another thing that they No more just turbo or relax, which is like I don't know choosing between a rock and a hard place. That's exactly exactly how I felt.

Play from 0:06:09 It was like relax is so slow that I want to like cry and then and turbo is going to drain your hours. Yeah, it was all right. Let's see. So, we have Q2 and we have Q4 showing up. Okay, so it is running Q4. Yeah, which would lead you to believe that it's up and live. It's good. I think it's taking fast mode is definitely not as fast as it was. No, but that's but that that is also right too in the sense that I thought Q4 was going to take it was going to be a longer generation. That's right. Like this one. Let's see what we got here.

Play from 0:06:47 This was just Q1. Pretty sure Q1 is still the default. Yeah. So missing detail. Let's see what Q how much we got left. 82% 82. It's funny because like Q Q parameter is one of those sneaky sneaky mfers because it's like you might use it for a little bit at least. Maybe I'm just talking about me, but then I'll forget about it for a while, right? And then it's like a conversation like this like a duh. Like [ __ ] Yeah. Like this one. Great. This is so much better than than this. You know what I mean? like from a detail standpoint, this verse that like that looks to me way better. Even the details like the the tread on the tire here, like the

Play from 0:07:33 texture on the ground, guys, these aren't like, you know, life-changing images, but you can tell the difference like this one even, right? Like the difference in the detailing in the car here verse the difference in the detailing of the car here, which is like Yeah. you know, just like fuzz and there's and there's room I think I mean there's there's obviously room for both use cases, right? Like yeah, there's nothing wrong with that Q1 shot. Pretty dope shot actually. And that that felt like a real shot, you know? Q4. No wonder. That's why this is so so detailed. This one too. Even like the depth on this, which is not Go, can you can you do a double zoom on that? Can you uh zoom and then maybe open it into a new tab and see if we can get in here? Get it

Play from 0:08:21 all up in there. So many I mean the people are better from what they have been. They're all jacked up. Anyway, this is the stuff that's crazy. It's like all this background detail like the the buildings on the mountains like the tiered sort of uh architecture going upwards, the trees up here. Like that's Yeah, because like you could you could imagine where if there's not that much detail baked in, maybe the AI image generation is just thrown in like a bunch of mountains or a bunch of trees that that look pretty similar. Right.

Play from 0:08:53 Whereas you've got a really really deep background there. Yes. Right. And there's still so much variation in that background like this. It even has the, you know, even if the people are sort of morphy, they're on the balcony, right? You have people sitting down here at a table. You have the flowers down here, the flower pots with the, you know, this is all lined this street. Like you can't get this level of detail in any other generator. This just you someone challenged me on that. You just can't like that's the that's look at that.

Play from 0:09:24 That's nuts. So again, not mindblowing creative here. Yeah. Q4, but Q4 solid, you know. So, something to keep in mind because I I again I don't sit over people's shoulders. I don't know what they use normally, but I think Q, if I were to speculate, is one of those that people just sort of like overlook, you know, or probably don't use at all. Um, again, you know, you know what would be really interesting if they did one of these surveys, too, and there was some data or information behind the uses of certain features. I know they have that because they've talked about it. They're like, "Yeah, you know, I think like only 2% of people use X, right?" And it's like, damn, that'd be cool to see. I wonder how many% of people use like quality. How

Play from 0:10:12 many% of people use stop, you know, like some of these ones where you just kind of like forget that are even there, but they've definitely got some use cases. Tile, those those random ones that are still good, but like still good. And so you've got Q4, right? like um something they talked about in the office hours. I'll just kind of run through these Rory just as always like you stop me if whatever you want to uh dive into. Fast mode release omni reference and exp release of course in progress features personalize explore page under dev.

Play from 0:10:45 Okay, so that'll be content specific to individuals. You've got higher quality image mode and testing. Here's something we talked about last last time we chatted. Which one? Flip and rotate functionality expected to release soon. That one That one to me is a no-brainer. Just like I don't even need the rotate. I just need the flip. Like flip horizontal. Oh, really? I was going to say give me the rotate. Like give me some uh Yeah. Okay.

Play from 0:11:11 Yeah. Hell yeah. Cuz the horizontal to me and vertical is I don't even need vertical. Horizontal sometimes though because you'll get the great image but it's the wrong way. Bro, you guys are either listening to this podcast or you should talk to us because we're we're like we're in lock step on on this stuff. Uh you've got a new SREF and mood boards planned for next week. Multiple Omni reference support coming in one to two weeks, right? So that's important to note. We'll get into omni reference, but like again when they first talked about it, it was under the idea too that you're going to have a much easier way to get multiple character consistency. And then they're working to reduce personalization onboarding to fewer than 200 images. Um, okay. Aesthetic updates.

Play from 0:11:56 This is kind of interesting. So, better aesthetics coming after ranking parties. So, they've got a ranking party scheduled for the end of this week, early next, and they've got a second ranking party planned for one to two weeks after that. And those will be the final aesthetic updates for V7 for some time is what they said. So, I guess that would probably be the end of the aesthetic updates for V70.

Play from 0:12:22 But, you know, like what's the next step? Are they going to do a 71? They're going to go straight to eight, right? Like, but it sounds like that's it for seven. And then, uh, is there anything else in here? New style expiration. There was I I tuned in for 25 minutes today. I heard a few things and it sounds like there was there was like clockwork on every office hour someone asks about a zoomin feature and David was like everyone keeps asking about it but no one votes for it and then it was like everyone was I think everyone in the chat was probably like we want this so he was like yeah I think we can do this I'll just put it up in the I'll put it up on the ranking system cuz it's like yeah we do want that for some it's not

Play from 0:13:09 like I need it. I like it. I mean, it's fixed a lot of it with crop, but with like with the editor tool, but it would be cool like, you know, to zoom in on some stuff like especially if it's, you know, you got some Yeah, because there still are some like limitations with that resizing in editor, too. Like if you're already in that that uh aspect ratio, you can't stretch it in either direction. Yeah. Like that zoom in feature would be dope. Especially for a smoosh face, you know, smoo face. You want to zoom in on the smoosh face to make it not shitty.

Play from 0:13:44 And I wonder how that would affect upscaling. Let's say you had Rory Flynn in the foreground. Smoosh face Drew Brecker in the background and you zoomed in to smush face and then you upscaled it. Am I still Am I still smoosh face? It's a good question. See, this is this is why I'm like I I feel like I used to want it and now I'm like, "All right, whatever." But I think I think the other one that it doesn't feel like pressing.

Play from 0:14:11 It doesn't feel pressing. Like if if this would have came in six. Yeah. Yeah. In six 100%. That would have been different when we first got zoom. I I can't even remember if zoom out was in six or five. I think zoom out was in five one two. Yeah. 51 or 52 for sure cuz that was like yes, but it was also back then when you we really want we couldn't there wasn't like a change aspect ratio like there wasn't an editor feature. So it was like it made sense then but now there's like so much [ __ ] but the editor now it's nice to have it in the uh in the actual light box when you're doing it. You don't have to like switch platforms almost to go to the other editor and now everyone can use it. So don't have to answer that question anymore. or you have

Play from 0:14:57 it. If you if you pay for a subscription, you have it. There you go. Mega plan only or mega plan, baby or whatever. Take my entire wallet. Take it. Whatever. Um, so yeah. Anyway, there's uh I I think that's like most of it. There's the only other thing they mentioned that I have here in the notes is significantly improved draft mode is planned for next month. Um, enhanced mode will be more uh consistent. And last note, which if we have time on this one, it kind could be kind of cool to run through, but they have a new survey that's available for feature ideas submission. Ah, so it's the link though is in Discord. Um, oh no, it's also in website, channel, and

Play from 0:15:43 announcements. It says, um, I thought it would be under tasks where the other surveys are. It's not there. But uh yeah, so Discord, it's on there under announcements or apparently it's on website. I haven't checked. But one of the other questions that someone asked today that was I was just like, "Please just do this. It can't be that hard." Someone finally asked like, "Is there a way to we can organize our mood boards or like categorize them or like so they're not just when you hit the P drop down, it's like got to scroll." This guy's like, "I have 200 mood boards. Can you just can we do them alphabetically or something or rename them?"

Play from 0:16:17 He was like, "That shouldn't be too hard." I was like, "Yeah, that one would be that would be real nice as just a quality of life." Just for anyone who uses mood boards, which I do all the time, that would be that would be very appreciated in the journey. If you are listening, I hope it doesn't take too much work to do that, but or just like reorder them. I know. That's awesome. Yeah, that's it's been a that's been a pain in the ass. I also same with the uh editor functionality with like third-party editing, right? Like if you go to the edit tab, I don't like that screen. I don't like how it's currently set up with the edit texture tabs, you know? Um I think that could be improved too, you know, because then you got to like if you go out and you click

Play from 0:17:02 view all, right? It's just kind of I don't know like to me it could be better. Could be better. is do you do you miss the little like when you were putting an image reference in and then just like selecting style reference image reference character reference? I do. Yeah, I like that. I don't like the drag because the drag is like I have to drag it into a box, but then if I want to have it as an SRF and an image prompt or an SRF and a object reference, one of the whatever, you have to like take it again and put it in there. You can't just like move it. I'm I'm with you on that. It doesn't duplicate. It just it's just one. So, y it's there's there's little things. The other I thought the other thing was pretty easy, but now it's different. So, whatever. We'll you

Play from 0:17:49 know, there's so much there's so much now. Like there's so much. There is. There is. So, let's let's get into uh let's get into the bigger pieces of this too because yeah, we kind of went through, you know, notes, new features. Um, you know, maybe we start with EXP. Fun parameter. I like it. Solid. Uh, first impression is like we got back styliz pre-personalization. Exactly what I thought. You know what I mean? Like because that was the that was the juice.

Play from 0:18:25 It was like, you know, the this default Midjourney, you know, the the higher you run sty-wise, sort of like the more creative it gets, experimental, whatever. not weird but experimental. This is that like pre-personalization. This is that. And I think it's much needed. And I'll tell you why. Like too personally, I'm feeling like I don't love my global seven right now. I don't love it.

Play from 0:18:52 I've been running it, we talked about this last time we talked too, but I've been running at lower and lower values. Mhm. And now I also love the ability to run it at lower values because of the EXP tradeoff I can get from it because you know we'll give you like some visual examples here as we get into you know expire reference but like this is a this is a perfect example and actually what I'm going to do I ran these I ran this same prompt um for four different stylized values, 50, 250, 500, 1,000. And I ran those with six exp values. 0 5 10 25 50 100. I

Play from 0:19:42 did it both with seed and without seed. All right. Honestly, I don't think you really need to do seed. Like looking at kind of the results, like I don't think it makes a huge difference. But here's where we'll go, right? Like there were some obvious conclusions here. First things first, stylized 50. I rarely run that low stylized 50, but I like this actually because you'll see why as we get more and more stylized value into my personalization. Right?

Play from 0:20:12 Like, so you've got this. This is your base stylized 50, lowest S, you know, S value I ran zero exp. Right now, you add in a little bit of the XP, you get a five, right? And these just feel like super dope. You get into 10, get into 25, you get into 50 or Yeah, 50. And then you get into like a hundred. And like there's there are ones that I like in each little quadrant here actually.

Play from 0:20:43 And so here here's the prompt, too. It's just like astronaut holding on to a bull in space. Surreal atmosphere, stars and cosmic dust out of the folks in the background. Futuristic, vibrant colors, high detail, otherworldly. Okay, so like first things first, it's like I don't even run stylized 50 most of the time. I actually really like this set a lot. Good. You know, it's it's really good. It's coming through. It's staying very coherent to the prompt. Love that. I run that up to 250, which I've been running a lot more of. And you kind of start to see where my personalization goes. It's like this blue and pink tint and I I I don't like it. Sometimes it works great.

Play from 0:21:23 I can't get out of this now. Like I've gone through and rated more images purposefully with like yellows and greens. Like I just I I haven't got it yet. So, but here's 250. Okay. This is normally like a good range that I would run historically for a while. Okay. E exp 0 5 10 25 50 and 100. So okay, you can see when you get to like 50 and 100 here, it's starting to break out of sort of like the color toning of the stylize. Uhhuh. I think

Play from 0:22:10 that's to be expected. One other interesting thing here though, like you see how close up the bull is on these so much and the astronaut as you run up the exper better. So that was interesting too. It's like, oh, okay. It's like backing up, right? And so, like, you and I have talked about this quite a lot with the stylized value of like, okay, you know, typically if you run stylize higher, you know, it's going to get closer and closer to subject, right? So, EXP is actually as I was doing this moving it further and further back like that. So, I thought that was I thought that was kind of like an interesting takeaway.

Play from 0:22:47 Now, we move up to 500, right? Also, really close. Probably pink. probably even closer, you know, like again going back to that stylized. Yeah. Blue and pink all over the freaking place. 500 even closer now. We've got some exp in here. I just I just I think there's some real magic that happens. You know, I would say like 10 to 50. I mean, sometimes depending on the prompts, like the hund stuff gives you some real cool things, too, but same kind of deal. For the most part, it's kind of like backing up on these. Yeah.

Play from 0:23:24 And I don't know, just like really cool cool images on these higher values as opposed to the other ones, right? They're like more of strict coherence to the prompt. Um, even though you've got something in here like dynamic and engaging composition, these feel like more dynamic and engaging composition. Uhhuh. Right. This is interesting. It is like it's it's super. Okay. So then now let's get into a thousand. Let's run stylize all the way up to a thousand.

Play from 0:23:53 And this is where it's like, okay, remember stylize high value now means more and more and more personalization. Okay, so yeah, like look, dude, it's like ridiculous. Like in some scenes this color palette is great. In a scene like this, it's like nah. So, can you can you do something real quick while we're here though? Just so we have something to look at later. Can you run this styliz prompt, this thousand without your global profile?

Play from 0:24:21 Just take it just so we'll like run this take take your P off on the on the default because that I do that all the time and it annoys the hell out of me. I just want to see how how different it is. Do you want to run um that with all the XP? Okay. Yeah. Because I was doing this today because I was trying to do a specific shot and like my style, my personalization like would not allow for it. Like it wouldn't allow the color that I wanted. So I had to go back and just use the base model and then Oh [ __ ] I've been doing this too where I put expand instead of 100.

Play from 0:25:01 Okay. All right. So we've got those runs. We'll go back there. We'll go back to those. Yep. I want to uh I want to show you what happens with a thousand here, too. And then we'll get right there. Yeah. So, like a thousand. Where are we at? Here we go. So, you've got zero exp, you've got five, you've got 10, you've got 25, you've got 50. You've got 100. Yep.

Play from 0:25:32 And whatever it is, I don't know if it's just this prompt, right? like I I want to keep doing more and more of these experiments. I've run it a few times, but not like this where it's, you know, the full gamut of going through, you know, several stylized values and several EXP values, but to me out of this prompt really like the 2550s of EXP. And again, it's relative to your goal. I have no goal for this other than just like seeing what happens. This is not a client project. This is just pure fun, right? So, it's also you got to keep that in mind. Now, let's go all the way let's go all the way up and and see what we're talking about, Rory. So, no personalization here. Let's start with zero exp, right? What do we got? So, it

Play from 0:26:19 looks See, it does yours does add a lot of pink does because I mean still like gray and blue, but they're not as there's not as much pink, but it is backing this up too. same way. But it is interesting that it is kind of like throwing a lot of blue. Yeah. In these images. And I've never I there nowhere in here is there blue.

Play from 0:26:44 There's space. There's vibrant colors. It's not really coming out as vibrant. It's coming out as muted. Yeah, that's weird. Yeah, that's that's also a good point. I wonder if it's Style Raw that's doing that. Oh, good call. Let's try that. Let's see. Let's Let's check this. I like where your head's at. Let's run this now. Cuz RAW always I just like stopped using it cuz it just I was just like it there was there was a there was a period of time where I stopped using it too and then I just like I think I just turned it back on when I got to seven if I remember correctly because it felt it always felt like in six with RAW it was like I was going

Play from 0:27:29 back to 5.2. I was like, I I want the detail. I don't want the the raw. I'm gonna I'm gonna do I'm gonna do one other Oh, you know what? This is with the global profile on. Let me take this back off. I was going to say I did want to do it with the profile, but let's do this off. Pink, you know, dude, it is just firing on pink. I I hate it. I hate it. That's why I'm like, you know, right now I'm using I would say a lot of like 100 to 150. Uhhuh. And I like the results. I like the results I'm getting. So, let me take this out.

Play from 0:28:08 Okay. These are the dumb experiments we have to run so that you guys don't have to. We I do this stuff the same way. And it's like mind-numbing, but it it helps. It does help. So, take this for what it's worth. This is with the personalization. Yeah, I know. Yeah. Big difference there. Okay. So, you've got this. Now, this is not again, this is not style raw. What we're running now, this was with my personalization on on accident. Here, we're getting into no personalization.

Play from 0:28:41 Running the same experiment, starting with zero exp and no row. Yeah. All right. See, like this I'm I'm getting more color from like even on the the astronaut uniform. Like you can see like the like the American flag is like prominent and like you do start to get a little bit more vibrant. Oh, look. It's got a Red Bull logo. Got Red Bull. All right. Interesting. I'm surprised it's not it's normally it takes vibrant and like really really runs with it, right? Yeah. With that token. I know. It's it it does feel a little low contrasty in and yeah like at least half of these which is weird. It is that's that's not normal unless you have something in there that has stars and cosmic dust background colored.

Play from 0:29:29 So I think it's like it's you know like this was an interesting experiment for me. I think it's it's one of those things if you're if you are in one of these boats where you don't like your global personalization, EXP provides another opportunity, right, for you to still use it. Maybe it's just at a lower stylized value, which does have some benefits, right? In some ways, you're getting better prompt coherence, right? Also, you know, like the the EXP part of it is you do get to bake in more of the creativity in there. So, I mean, there's like a little bit of a trade-off of not having a great personalization code, I guess, in that sense that you're in love with, you know, that was sort of like one of my takeaways. And then I think the other piece, like we mentioned, like the lower the stylized value or the

Play from 0:30:15 higher the EXP value, the further it gets away from the subject. Definitely like it it does feel like stylized. Like it felt it felt like a more controlled version of styliz when I was running it like like when we used to do stylize a thousand and used to just go like nuts and you'd be like like you like it cuz it's crazy but it was just like this is like nothing of what I was asking for but it felt like it was more controlled like on the subject like adding incremental levels of detail to it versus like adding like flowers in the background like we talked about.

Play from 0:30:49 flowers, baby. Sparks or dust or whatnot. Cuz this is I ran this. I'll show you this one with exp. I was just doing random var, you know, random uh values cuz this one I ran and this was just like multiple SRF codes and profile codes like together. This was like that ancient war award-winning photo of an ancient warrior, right? And that was pretty much it. Then I ran it with the exps and I ran it with different levels and it gave me like totally different type of people. Like these actually look like people, you know? This one I started getting like this. Damn. Like some ice king [ __ ] It was kind of sick though. The the level of detail was wild. Like this one I was digging cuz it

Play from 0:31:35 just had a lot of detail with the double sword. Yeah. Yeah. Like this one. Yeah, those are dope too. I mean they're dope. They're still great. Yeah. like this one. I was like, "That's cool." Like these are cool. Like I wouldn't prompt for this, you know? I wouldn't prompt for this type of stuff. There was just I was just interested that I it gave me things like that. This is This has got to be one of your favorite SRFs cuz I've seen this one a bunch. It's a blend of three and I It's just It's I don't know what it is about it that I like it so much cuz it's got this I mean it is great, dude. It's Yeah, I I can do it all day. It's just There's these three. It's one that's like super one that's super gold. So, you get that like it's like that old like kind of like a vintage photography but with a really shiny gold. And then there's one that's white with this like sketch work on it with like the sketch

Play from 0:32:23 art or the whatever I'm trying to say here. Scribble, the doodles, the scribbles. Yeah. Yeah. And then another one's more of like a more of like a minimalistic monotone type like white and tan. But they like the way they work together. I don't know. Just I just can't get Yeah. or it works great cuz it's like and I don't know if that's all if it's also due to your prompting style but they almost all feel like this interesting and and kind of like perfectish balance of like minimalism meets maximalism. Yeah, that's what I was going, you know, like they're all they all look simple from like a glance and then you when you look at them further, there's so much detail and things baked into it, you know, which I think like again like really

Play from 0:33:09 drives the curiosity and interest value on it. And the colors are I I obviously love the colors like those are my kind of I don't know if I have it here. I might I might have the breakdown. Here it is. So here's the actual Here's what Oh, images of the three. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like that's what it that's what the blend looks like. So you get stuff that looks like this. These are more aggressive in V6. But it's the those three. They just they just do work together. I don't know why. Just I I can't I can't not I can't stop prompting. It's awesome. Yeah. Out comes out cool. But EXP big win. I think it's a I think it's a fun one to add back into the mix. It's not you know it's weird when someone's like what's experimental? I'm like, "It's it's experimental." They're like, "Isn't

Play from 0:33:54 weird the experimental parameter?" I'm like, "Yeah, but like weird is weird and experimental is experimental." There's something weird about weird that we can't really put our finger on which makes it weird. We don't know what it is. It's just like it's just like like it's it's almost like a feel thing. Like you can't you can't really describe it in words, but you just know like it is it it just feels good every once in a while to throw it in there, especially if you're prompting abstract.

Play from 0:34:27 I say if you're prompting abstract or like don't have a clearly defined vision. I was going to say, yeah, like if if you if you got like this open interpretation or if maybe it's even like a shorter prompt, right? Like where you've just got like a few pieces or a piece It's just run with it. Play with weird. That's it. That's my That's my my bold take for the day. Just play with weird. You won't hate it. It's awesome. Let's Dude, let's get into what I know you've been waiting for, too. Is Omni reference.

Play from 0:34:59 Omni reference. Cref. C. Is Cref gone? Cre's dead? I think so. I don't think you can do it anymore. Yeah, this is dead though. Much better. instead. So, just to reiterate, Omni reference launched a few days ago. Now, the totality of it is not there, right? Because you've also got this sort of like multi-consistent character approach, which we alluded to, but that said, um, what are your first thoughts on Omni Reference? How are you feeling? when I came back, if I'm being honest, and I like read what it was, and then I like tried to just follow their instructions and I was trying to rush through it to get good results, like I just didn't get

Play from 0:35:44 anything good and I was like, "This sucks." And then I spent more time with it the last two or three days and it's good. Like it's just it just took a little bit of time to like understand like what their thought process was around it and then I was like, "Okay." And you know, I think there's people immediately want to go and do absolutely crazy stuff with it, not understanding that it's a V1. Like it's not going to work perfectly. It doesn't work the same way that you know, Google Flat or Google Gemini does where it's like put this person here and then it's like perfect.

Play from 0:36:15 Um cuz you know, Midjourney still wants to be artistic and it still wants to add its its like flare to it. But working with a few different I was I've been disappointed in a few things and really impressed with a few things. Start with the bad things. Hands awful. I I hate to say that we're going back in time, but for whatever reason with OmniF, the hands are worse. Yeah. Especially the further away they get from the frame, the more mangled they get. And I'm I don't understand why just with omnire because I haven't had any problems really with V7, but the hands are just not good. And then you can't Yeah. with omnire.

Play from 0:36:57 So you have to take, you know, ow out of the prompt if you want to edit, which is, you know, once you start playing with the parameters, you get to the certain point, you get to the feel where you know it's going to work and then it's like, okay, you know, this all makes sense. But I've been finding some things with, and we can go into this later, that exp that can really dial in on some of the faces. So, that can help. Oh, interesting. It when I started using like I was trying to play with um I was trying to like put myself in scenes to make myself look like, you know, James Bond because why not? Can't get rid of the green tuxedo. And uh

Play from 0:37:42 never. And I wasn't getting what I wanted. And then I was like, screw it. Let me try, you know, exp 10. And then it was just like right in. I was like, is that it? Is that all it took? Was just like it needed a little exp maybe like to take my personalization down if if that makes sense. I think maybe it was taking some of my personalization like negating it. But I'll uh Damn, that's interesting. Stuff because this is this is what's interesting. so far.

Play from 0:38:12 So, one of the the thing I I posted this today, but I was I was really impressed by it was where are we here? Faces, right? So, purpose of this test, right? Like it's the same thing as character reference. Like when you wanted to character reference, if you wanted to like take a character, don't put them in a really busy background with a bunch of other people or whatnot. Like just think about it like you're training a Laura. like would all the focus be on the face, right? Like just to just to get going with this stuff cuz that's all it has to focus on. It has a white background.

Play from 0:38:46 It's not focusing on anything. I think that's a really good point. So, what you're saying is like put them in a put them in like almost like a portrait type scenario. Maybe even like a studio plain color sort of background. Real minimal detail background all focused on the subject. Yeah. Because because then you get the detail of the face. Like you see how much more goes into the face like with the skin and the lighting and each individual hair and the freckles. This isn't even upscaled, right? These are just straight up raw that I did. So I just took this picture then used it as omniref right and then was basically I didn't even have to do anything with this. I just typed the prompt and changed the perspective like side profile screaming, you know, head tilted back, eyes closed. Uh, like grimacing,

Play from 0:39:32 screaming. This one was, you know, mouth open, tongue out. This one was winking. Didn't really wink, but like kind of look cool. But look at this is the one thing I wanted to show you to to like give everyone a little bit of detail. Do you notice this little this little like Yeah. wrinkle in his skin here? Yeah. some sort of it shows up. Yeah, it shows up in all of these. Yeah, that's a great call out. Little details like that are coming through, which I was impressed about. U you know, naturally his freckles are not going to be one to one from image to image, but like the imperfection on this made it awesome, too, cuz like he's got like this weird kind of nose and that sort of shows up and everything. Like this one looks like his nose is kind of broken. This guy just looks like he's haggarded, right?

Play from 0:40:17 Yeah. So, yeah. I which I appreciate. So this is this was simple. This was just object wave 100. This default didn't change anything. And then you know from there you can start to build outward. Right. So then I was like okay let's take him and start you know changing his pose. Right now it's you know his arms are crossed. He's pointing at the camera. He's smoking a cigarette. Um you know he's raising a fist into the air drawing a bow and arrow. There you go.

Play from 0:40:45 Drinking a beer. Holding a baby. Yeah, you know. So, I was pretty impressed with this to start just like saying, okay, it can translate a face and features and characteristics pretty well. That's where I feel like it's going to win. This is where it's really good. Hey, I'm curious. Have you have you tried this yet? Um because this was like the approach that you kind of had to take in the old Cref. But if you tried taking like one of those where you've got all these different angles and having a single image and dropping that in the as the ref yet? I tried it.

Play from 0:41:22 Is there And is there what happens? It didn't work that well. I was trying to do with Pikachu. Um let me see if I can actually find it. I was trying to do this with I might have been doing it wrong at the time if I think back. That's what I was thinking about too, like I hadn't tried that, but that's immediately what came to mind was, okay, yeah, I've kind of like I've I've I've seen other people generating the omniresent character. I've done it.

Play from 0:41:48 I haven't played a ton with it yet, but the question I had was that same thing, right, where if you create a character sheet or you've got all these different angles baked in, does it help you? I was I was hoping that would be the case because I was running this as the as the omni reference, right? Like I was running Pikachu from in multiple different situations here hoping it would get them in the street but it wasn't and it wasn't even kind of close in some way, shape or form. I got one that had the clothes and it might have been the object weight was I was trying all different object weights with it like this was the only one and what and what what were they saying too is like the object weight needs what was the 400 one that is with the like trying to capture the outfit as well right is like

Play from 0:42:34 400 and above they recommended 400 as the place to go for that. Yeah. And it's like I'm not I'm not getting it with this one. I don't know why. Maybe I think it's might just be too much, but you know, I gave it more complex things than this and it worked. So, I I was surprised. Um, have you tried like that guy though with those different angles and seeing what happens with that? I'd be curious with that. Like, how about we give it a whirl? Let's give it that.

Play from 0:43:04 Let's give that a whirl cuz let's see. That feels like whether you do it here, this feels like something Rory Flynn's gonna do anyway. I'm definitely do it. It's just like when are we gonna do it and we're going to do it right now. Kind of called you out on the spot here, didn't I? There we go. No, I don't want 10 layers. Outside of Midjourney right now, I don't know if I'm like flooding your brain by asking you a question while you're doing this, but with with consistent character, outside of Midjourney, who's doing it the best right now in your opinion?

Play from 0:43:36 Tough one. I think it's Google maybe. I mean unless you're using Lauras. I mean like you know if you just want to do between chat GBT changes too many features for for me it's really annoying but Google does it really well for to for me at least. Have you seen that uh there was this social post maybe you haven't seen it because you were on vacation. Somebody did it where they had a picture of the rock in chat GBT. Yeah.

Play from 0:44:05 You saw that they ran like keep this Yeah. Keep this image exactly the same. And they ran it like 80 different times and it changed the rock into like this like puddle of like this creature of a thing. And it's just like funny cuz that's that's the truth, right? Like you tell that to chat GBT till your fa you know your face is blue but it won't listen. Doesn't listen. No, it won't. It's I I've noticed that way too many times, especially with like using pictures of myself and it'll change me.

Play from 0:44:33 Then I'm like, I didn't ask you to change me. I just asked you to add things around me. It's like, no, I will change whatever I need to. And isn't it kind of weird that it doesn't do that though? Like given sort of like what we know about the back end of that technology, it just kind Doesn't that feel kind of weird that it's not able to preserve that? Like that feels like why is that sort of like this void? It is weird and like I don't know it annoys me but Google tends to do it pretty well. Like Google Gemini just like bang some person this person doing this and it's like I don't even have to prompt it. It's just like it's like I understand. Thank you.

Play from 0:45:13 What should we where should we put this guy? I don't care. Whatever you want to do. Let's do sitting at an outdoor bar in Bali. Kids birthday party. Sitting. Sitting at a kids sitting at a kids birthday party looking sad. There we go. Let's take this out. Let's take out 85 millimeter.

Play from 0:45:44 Let's let's go 35 just to see. And then let's give it a 169. And then let's go with so I using personal I was using personalization on these. And then does cha does do you find that chaos values using omni reference or character reference affects the face in any way? Not really. I I I have it on default and it doesn't really uh doesn't really hurt it too bad. I mean, this guy looks pretty. I was digging this one. This one was so hard. I was like, "Yeah." Yeah, it's dope. This I also like this one cuz I got the middle finger. Yeah. There we go.

Play from 0:46:28 See, it's pulling this up, which is weird. It's like not recognizing the character sheet. So, yeah. And that was the question I was thinking too is like is it going to pull just multiple images in almost like an image ref type style, you know? So, let's do this real quick. Let's do so we don't have to make everyone sit here and wait. Let's do uz this was 100 right now, right? So, this is like closer to the reference image. Let's do 200 400 600 800,000.

Play from 0:47:00 Why would anybody want to use anything lower than 100 on OW right now? Products. It works really well with products that way. I don't know why. I'm trying to think of it as so like see it's taking this character sheet and turning it into but if I said maybe it's maybe I have to go the other way. Let's try the other way. 5 10 25 50. Well, now I have as many I have character sheets for days. Yes. Yes, you do.

Play from 0:47:37 Let's see. This might be the This might be it. So, you might have to go lower if I want to place this guy into a scene. I'm just curious to see if that how that's going to affect his face. Let's see. It's doing it. It is doing it. Let's see. Finish up. All right. So, have our guy upset at a party. Its face is definitely a little different there. Right. This one different. Oops. Going the wrong way.

Play from 0:48:17 This one more like the images. Yep. This one a little bit more like the images. This one. That one. No. Damn. That one's a good one, too. Yeah. So, we're at what are we at? 25 now. All right. So, we're getting more like him. Yeah. All right. 50. Okay. I see what's happening here.

Play from 0:48:43 Interesting. Right. Okay. Yeah. So, hundreds. 100's pulling in a lot of this. 100 and up is pulling in a lot of the aesthetic and construction and all right so it's a balancing act and you know what Rory I think this is the key too now that somebody's said it but with EXP Midjourney came out and said there's a different like there's a a bigger difference a bigger delta between like between values that are like lower than 50 or something like that versus once you get to like 50 and above going to 100 Right. So, not all things are equal.

Play from 0:49:22 I think that's the case with most parameters here. Uhhuh. Like style-wise, I think that's exactly right. There's less of a difference between like a stylized 500 and a 1000 than there is a 250 and a five, you know, 500. And I think the same is the I think the same is true with with sort of like a lot of those that have that scale. I think like you we see these scales and we and I think just like our our natural tendencies think okay all things are created equally but you and I have both have known for a long time that a lot of these scales are very sensitive or lower values seem to work best most of the time right and I think that's it dude I think that's the case with a lot of those parameter functions is that that

Play from 0:50:11 degree that delta is so much bigger in change on the lower numbers numbers than it is the higher numbers. You know, there's a there's a fall-off. So, this this is where EXP, I think, comes in because I think this is this is like nailing his face a lot more. I think so, too. These look great. Yeah. Like, these are more I mean, like, cuz I'm looking at a couple things, right? I'm looking at the nose and I'm looking at the mark and I'm looking at his eyes, you know, like and of course like the beard, but that's like pretty more it's a little bit more obvious. But, you know, the nose is sort of like this crooked nose, you know, the mark on the cheek that you pointed out, you know, of course, like those are two really big identifiers there. Look at the nose that it's like an S, right? It's like got like the S here, but it does it in every single

Play from 0:50:56 one. Yes. Right. Which is great. I mean, this one is a little bit more pronounced. This one, his nose is a little bit fatter here, but you know what's that? Exp 20. So like exp this was 10. So again, this was a good And this is what I was finding too was that this was working with my my images, right? Because then if I even went like I just want to do let's do low angle like low angle photography. I want to see if it'll push it back a little bit. Think if I go to exp 100 it'll also push it back. Hold on.

Play from 0:51:29 This is good for I mean the other question then is does this provide better results using the multiple views of the person versus just using the single shot, right? Yeah. I mean I don't know if we'll have time to like kind of really dissect that here. What's Do you have a gut reaction to that? Like based on what you're seeing here? It's keeping everything like pretty close. I mean, my my prompt isn't really like giving giving it much. Like, I I'm going to have to go and edit the prompt to like put him maybe further back in the midground. Like, if I put like, you know, kids running in the foreground

Play from 0:52:16 blur. Maybe that pushes him back a little bit because I haven't really t you know, it's uh Oh, all right. Sorry. Did I hit the Did I Did I hit the moderation system with that people? He's sitting at a, you know, sitting birthday party looking sad at a table in the middle of a backyard with tall trees and a pool in the corner. I'm just typing here.

Play from 0:52:50 Let's see. Because this might We'll run this with exp. So, because I had to add more detail to probably push him back a little bit because it was just focusing on him. Yeah. Let's see. See, it's still like pulling him up like right in the middle, right in the right in the foreground. And that's why, see, that's why I think this is this is probably the issue because you've got then multiple multiple angles of the same distance, right? Same kind of focal length. Yeah, cuz it's in like this is all right. So, u do one more experiment then everyone

Play from 0:53:35 then we'll move over or move on. 75, 90, 125, 150. That might that be that begs one other question pro again probably something we won't have time for to do live, but what if then you were able to create a character sheet, so to speak, with different distances involved in addition to the angles, right? You definitely could do that, you know, and then how does that work? Like does that then offset kind of like this trap that we're falling into with where he's positioned, you know?

Play from 0:54:07 Uh-huh. All right. So, now we're getting more of this stuff, though. At least, dude. But like my my I I'm seeing the same guy here. It's the same shot. Yeah. I mean, it's it's pretty tight, you know? Like even with some of the color grading changing and like the vibrancy and contrast ch like still feels like the same dude. Yeah. But if anyone wants consistent characters, you got it.

Play from 0:54:37 Like this is this is it. Because when I did it was I had to play around with it, right? Like when I was doing myself, where am I? Where did I put myself? Here I have this is me. So I had to do it like I was playing around mostly with object weight 400 and then exp 40 and it was getting me pretty good in like these situations where it wasn't like that same it cuz it has you know it has me in the right prominently in the foreground but it was able to translate me into the background. These I thought were pretty good even though it made me nice and really tan there. Um fresh off your Sicily trip man. That's that's correct. That is correct. This one I thought was really good. I was like this

Play from 0:55:22 one to one. Yeah, my eye there screwed up. But that was You got the hair. It got the the gradient of my gray. Got the sort of the texture of my beard nailed that one down too. That was again object weight 400 EXP30. This one little softer on the skin but sort of nailed everything else I thought.

Play from 0:55:47 liked these. Thought this one translated pretty well. This one looks a little bit soft. But again, this EXP30 plus this one was only object weight 100, but this I've been finding there's like a balance there. And that's what needs Yeah, that's what Yeah, it's not. And that's again one of those like kind of cool also like if you maybe if you're not like a huge Midjourney fan or you spend a lot of time in there can be probably somewhat frustrating too because there there is like yeah like that balancing like you said you kind of have to experiment with like what we're doing or tap into somebody else that's that's doing this to kind of really figure that out because yeah again I like I wouldn't have guessed that EXP had anything

Play from 0:56:33 any impact on that, right? And and there's no real rational reason why I would think that's the case, but but obviously it is the case. It helped the hands, too. Don't ask me why. It when I was using it, I was getting better hands. I don't know why. It's just it was like I'm going to run with this, too. Maybe that's the reason why. But cuz I had my stuff I was like trying to get myself like holding a glass and it was just like my my fingers looked like like a nightmare scene. I was like, can't be doing that. So, yeah, can't can't be going back because I we've we've gone through too many of those conversations. It's like, what about the hands? Their hands aren't a problem anymore. Have they fixed the hands yet?

Play from 0:57:15 Um, well, look, we're getting we're getting close to wrap up. I do want to point out one other small thing you and I were just chatting about before we hopped on here. It was just like a small thing that I I haven't heard them talk about explicitly but to me was a real nice change like right so if you're running parameters or permutations rather you know this pain right like you're like going through you ran probably like 24 sets of images and now you're trying to go through them you stop along the way you know you want to say okay like maybe I want to paint something out Right. Boom. Boom. Boom.

Play from 0:57:52 Boom. Boom. Okay. I'm going to submit this. Click. Right. Before when you would exit this, you would not get taken to the same place here. Nope. Okay. Think about this. This was like a subconscious. Was that Well, no. I think the X was the X was there. The X was there. But like cuz I I just remember that being such a pain where it's like, "Okay, as soon as I'm out of this screen, now it like dropped me somewhere else and now I got to go back and again like if you're running permutations or you're like in this experimentation mode or whatever it is, it's like it's kind of a huge little pain in the ass to go back and find exactly where you're at." They cleaned that up. I don't even know what you would call it. I wrote something down. I was just like smart place saving. I don't know what you want to call it, but

Play from 0:58:39 I'm like thank you because that was much needed. especially if you're running a lot of images like just a real pain. So, thank you for that Midjourney. I haven't seen anybody talk about it, but man, small but big thing. That is a that is a nice one. And before I forget, I totally forgot to show this one for the products on the omnire side. This one this is where this is where it shocked me because we had the bad stuff. Now, show the good stuff, right? Like this was something that I was like, whoa. Wasn't expecting it to be good at this. First off, was just doing, you know, these shoes put him here. I added this text, but it was just like, oh, this translation was really good. And then like adding it to a person, low object

Play from 0:59:26 weight, anywhere between like 10 to 25 seems to be the the kicker here, just so everyone knows that. Then I did this composite one where I just pasted this image on top and was like use the, you know, put the pants and the shoes on the guy and I was like, "Huh, that's interesting." So it can recognize these two things separately and do this because then I did then I went and did it with Wait, so what did you do with that? Was that a layer? Was that a layer edit? Yes. So, this is I just went here, pasted pasted this uh this image on top and grouped it together, exported it, threw it into object ref. Oh. Oh, okay.

Play from 1:00:06 Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I I was I was wondering if you like did that in the uh the edit add layer kind of functional. Okay, I got you. I'm with you. I did this here. Now, where's where did I do I did all of them. So, I went I was like, "Let's let's do like a little stress test here and see if we can uh where did I put this thing? Here it is." Okay. So, I was like, "Let's do this stress test, right?" Like, I generated these clothes in Majour. Let's just do something absurd like, you know, pink cowboy boots. Just I put in burlap sack poncho.

Play from 1:00:41 Dude, I like that poncho, bro. Give me a burlap sack poncho. And then I generated this. I just I just said like model in a studio and like got that and I was like let's go see what it will do and like Midjourney I thought did pretty good using this is use I used this image so this composite image I took you know these three these three things put them in one little image and pasted it there and then I use that as the object reference and we got to this right like this is good it has the if you look at like the oh so what saying is you took you took all those items, combined them into one image and used that as the object reference, right? Because right now I I would assume this is the case obviously too with what they're talking about over adding multiple. That would

Play from 1:01:28 probably be the same case with objects, not just people, right? But okay. Yeah, I'm with you. So like I didn't have this was the image that I uploaded as the object reference. This one, right? This one had nothing to do with it except I did test it with using her as an image reference as well while this was an object reference and it got better. So just something to note. But you know the translation here from the sack texture to the knot here to the hood. This was impressive. I thought like getting this detail the little like uh cuffed cuffed pants. Yeah. Right. the uh the details on the boot, right? Like they're not one to one, but they're relatively close.

Play from 1:02:14 Yeah, there's a lot of intricacy in there. Pretty pretty good. It's like the same thing like with with what you mentioned with the guy, right? Like Yeah, you get a you get a scar or something that maybe is more of like a singular thing that feels replicable. You get into things like freckles where it's just more dynamic or there's too much in intricacy. Like that's where AI just in general I would say fails. Not just even Midjourney, right? Yeah.

Play from 1:02:40 Because then I did this with Flora and Gemini. So Gemini I thought did pretty good. Right. Flora, this one matched the the color of the pants better than Midjourney did. Like Midjourney has like, you know, some of this missing some of the neon here on the on the pants. I'm nitpicking, but I thought personalization on or off with Midjourney. This one I think it was off. I took it off for this just to test it without it. Yeah. And then this was chat GBT which has a yellow tone. Have you noticed that? Yep. Everything that comes out of chat GBT has this warm yellow tone. But yeah, the details are missing.

Play from 1:03:13 It did it relatively easy. I don't know if you've seen Korea's new thing though where it's it's called Korea canvas and it used chat GBT Paint. But basically you just upload the images in there and then you just draw an arrow like put this here, put this here, put this here and then push enter and then you get that which I was like I I love that. I love that. Yeah. Yeah. Very smart. I was like, that's super cool. I love that. If anyone's not familiar with Flora, we've gone over it a few times, but really it's just like I took those two images and just put them into one and said like, you know, put this outfit on this woman. It's so simple. Like, it makes it so easy, which I I wish I wish sometimes it was that easy with Midjourney where it's just like like literally the prompt. Add the outfit to the woman

Play from 1:03:59 sitting on the stool. That's what I'm saying. I I think like that's Yeah, it's almost like now features you've got all this stuff you you I mean start figuring out some of this UI stuff because it's it's it's overloaded. It's feeling like it was with Discord when you first when like you started getting image ref s right and just like all that just became like a lot. Yeah. And um I think we're kind of at that point like we've we've kind of been getting there.

Play from 1:04:29 But yeah, I think like an easier functionality, a quicker one would be helpful, but again, I don't know. I don't know if that matters to them. It could still be sort of like this Photoshop thing, right? Where it's like there are just levels to this, right? Like, and it is what it is. Like, yeah, you could be a Photoshop expert and still only know 80% of it, right? like that'd be awesome. 80% kind of the same thing. Yeah. So, I mean I don't know. I think that's kind of where it's at. It's interesting. I'm enjoying it though.

Play from 1:05:02 Like EXP is fun. Omnire reference I want to play some more with I love that we went through some experimentation here too, like for for you guys because you know these Fast Hours, man, they don't they don't they don't come easy, you know? And and look, I mean, the reality is you either have to experiment or somebody has to experiment and you have to learn from it. That's just the way it is because there are so many of these little like interchangeable parts. So, I'm glad we went through that. Um, before we wrap, Rory, anything else comes to mind? Man, I would not have found that EXP sort of tidbit with it like pushing the subject back unless you run that experiment. So, that was that was nice.

Play from 1:05:43 And that's a good that's a good win. I like that. But no, I'm uh shouting out my wife for an awesome um birthday gift over the weekend. If you can't see it, I you know, she Wait, it was your birthday. It was my birthday on Saturday. What? Come on, man. I didn't know that. Happy birthday, dude. Thanks, man. But how old are you? 50. 30 36 going on. Oh, only 36. This guy F. I love this shirt. Look at that. If anyone is wondering who the little, you know, the little screecher is in the background. It makes it makes me think you have three girls and three dogs, which would which means you're just like a crazy MF or if that's gay. You know what I mean? Psycho. I mean, you know,

Play from 1:06:28 for who? I I don't know if it was Gar Cordon also. Was it was it G maybe who was asking about my melon hats? There's, you know, FA's also wearing a melon hat in this one. Ah, there we go. Prominently displayed. We got, you know, Luna being anxious. And you know what? I want I want to give I want to give a shout out. Shout out. Fa Fa's got a birthday coming up in a week. She does. Next week. Actually, one week from today, I believe. No, I think yesterday cuz 13th, right? Yesterday. 13th. Yeah.

Play from 1:06:57 13th my brother's birthday, too. So, that's why I remember. But, is it really May 13th? Yeah. It's a good day. It's a good day. It's a good day, man. Holiday. That's amazing, though. Yeah. one. This guy took uh this guy took his his uh his child way overseas. So, props to that. That ain't easy. Hope you guys had a blast, man. Look like looked like a lot of fun. Ate well, got fat. Now it's, you know, dealing with the repercussions.

Play from 1:07:27 But hey, you you go there, you go to Italy, you eat. That's the rules. And you can't break them. No. Can't pass up on food. I mean, it's And you feel different. Like it's not like you eat twice as much over there and it feels doesn't even feel like you've eaten here, you know? It's just it's just a different thing. And it's just like it's so good. You're just like why would I stop? Because I don't get I'm not going to get to have this for 100%. Yeah, that's always I always hate that part where it's like you find some really good authentic stuff and it's like there's no way I'm going to find that here. Like damn, there's no way. You go the first two days of the trip you're like all right, I'll like pace this out.

Play from 1:08:04 And then there's like the like the event horizon portion of the trip where it's like, "All right, I'll have gelato like after breakfast. I'll have like, you know, stop in and get like a a rice ball somewhere." Like it's whatever the cuisine is. It's like I'll just hit the stops cuz I know it's coming to an end. So you just like pile it in. We did that when we went to uh Azor's these islands in uh near Portugal and they're known for their wine and they're known for their cheese. And so I I think we were there for a week, but it was like every morning was drinking wine by 9ine, was eating cheese by 9ine, you know, it was just like here it is, you know, they'll come with like the they'll come with like the, you know, the cheese selection for dessert too sometimes and you're like, yeah, why not? Yeah, of course. Sweet wine with that. Yeah, why

Play from 1:08:49 not? Got to do it. What do you recommend? I heard I saw like a I saw like a great Instagram post. It's like if you're if you're not going on vacation to indulge the hell out of yourself, why are you going on vacation? And I was like, you know what? I'm doing it. Kind of hits. Yeah, it kind of hits. That's that's that's honestly all you need to hear, you know, while you're on vacation to justify it. So, such bias, but I was I was running with it. Love it, dude. I love it. Yeah, man. Uh, like and subscribe everyone. Please tell a friend, tell your mom, tell your dog.

Play from 1:09:24 Show up. You guys are awesome. We need more moms and dogs in the audience. Yeah, for sure. Lot of great engagement on the last video. Lots of good comments. Drop us your comments. Tell us what you're thinking, what you want us to cover, things you're finding. There's a lot to cover here with this one. If you find some cool stuff, tell us. We'll talk about it. So, I mean, we really I mean, we could have done a whole episode on EXP. We could have done a whole episode on Omni Reference, right? Like, that's the cool thing about all this Yeah. all this new stuff dropping too is like we do get to talk about new stuff.

Play from 1:09:55 There was that period of time where I was like, "Okay, like how many different ways can we skin this, you know?" But uh yeah, guys, it's it's been fun. Glad to be back with y'all. It felt like forever, but uh it's always a good time, man. Just like getting into the weeds and uh yeah, we'll see you guys in the next one. Take care. See you.
